Looking forward to the season again?

I'd probably be more excited if it wasn't Sunderland coming up. It has boring 0-0 draw written all over it. I'm sure as the season progresses the excitement will build.

I thought that, but we know what they're all about under Dick Advocaat but we're almost certainly going to be different from last season, and with the new signings a possibly different setup we might just crack them. I wouldn't take last season's fixtures too much into consideration, I think tomorrow's going to be a bit of a mental one

My excitement levels haven't changed since the end of last season! Obviously we had the little spell of disappointment and upheaval with the change in manager but i really can't wait for 3pm tomorrow. CR was never my first choice but he seems to be saying the right things and I really believe he can take us forward. No doubt it will be another roller coaster ride of a season and if it turns out to be anything like like season it will be fan-bloody-tastic (although I'd much rather see us safe sooner  ) Let's get behind the whole team and enjoy another season of Premier League football :scarf:

This week my excited levels have crept right back up. The day after NP went I was the least excited I've ever been for a new season, but it's been building up nicely, and as of right now I can't bloody wait.

Shame it's not a top-4 club our first game, home game.

If we'd beaten them, the season would look quite rosy.

Before the sacking, just after we signed Huth permanently and we still didn't know about Cambiasso, I was the most excited I've ever been for a new season. Nowhere near as much now but generally glad to have football back.

Really excited but also quite nervous. I'm not proud of it but I think all the pundits have got to me with their predictions.

Need a beer.

I was buzzing before the Pearson sacking, now I'm just feeling a bit cautious until I see that the unit is still together and fighting for each other.

I don't think they will just fall apart. The team is too strong for that.

I will be a bit annoyed if the rumours about Nuge are true though. He along with Kasper and Wes are the pieces of glue which have held things together. Not just talentwise but work ethic and character wise too.

I can't see it going down too well with teammates if they've told him a day before the season he isn't required.

It would hardly be a surprise though, would it?. Nugent will struggle to get a game this season, and you can't just keep a player for sentimental reasons

He would want to move, if he's unlikely to get much game time

Feels like one of our most important opening fixtures in many seasons. We've done so many things well in recent years but it's hard to escape the feeling that we've dropped a clanger by sacking NFP. What we all need evidence of - and quickly - is that CR can still cut it at this level. It will really help everyone get completely behind him and (undoubtedly) his tinkering that is to come. It may even help sway some potential signings who will surely be checking our results / performance carefully. Come on City, let's raise the bar again this season.

Must admit when we sacked Pearson my buzz took a huge bashing. It's slowly come back. Wouldn't say I'm as excited as last season but the buzz has definitely returned.

I'm approaching the new season with mixed feelings.

The wave of positivity suffered a big blow following Pearson's sacking and I'm only zlowly, zlowly finding peace with the current set-up.

I'm equally happy and sad that the new season is about to kick-off again. We've lost something influential and now hope we can somehow retrieve it along the way.

We're also two players short of a competitive midfield. That lack of quality worries me.

Bring it on - we can but lose (yes, slightly fatalistic, I know).

Felt likewise and still feel underwhelmed by Ranieri and pretty pessimistic. Don't think the pundits have got it far wrong to be honest.

Same here.

I've said before the Euphoria at the end of the season took a pummeling with the Pearson and Cambo news. Now its only a day away though, the thought of another Prem season is thoroughly more exciting than a season in the cchip.

Also with the new additions and some of last years boys gaining some Premier League experience it MIGHT not be as bad as everyone expects!

Yeah I'm with you both to an extent. I think part of it is age and another part of it is that it feels like it's flew by, although I do think this must be our shortest pre-season in a long time, certainly since I've been going.

It's quite sad but the pundits have actually really fired me up for tomorrow. So much crap is spouted about Leicester it's unreal. I don't support the sacking of Pearson and appointment of Ranieri but I'll call bull when I see it, and there's been a hell of a lot of it about Ranieri.

Was listening to 5live last night wiv sav, wrighty,Kelly dalglish etc and they all think we will struggle. loads of city fans called in to say otherwise.I love this them and us mentality...we should be the new crazy gang of olde with wasileski as the white version of John Fashanu.

For the younger ones though try and enjoy asuch of this league as you can as we took it for granted under MON after a while as we thought we'd be in it forever!!! lol

Pundits in the papers, tv, etc...can go stuff themselves. Haven't a clue half the time.....kinda like us. Mourinho and other managers suggested we'd stay up after having played us. More inclined to listen to their remarks than writers.

Always a little nervous at the start of the season and enjoy the build up. Thinking we will be lower mid table but more consistent throughout the year.

Happy footballs back but in general feeling very 'meh' (:dunno:) about the season ahead.

Why though?

We don't know how well last seasons players will adopt after a years experience.Imagine Kramaric, mahrez,Vardy knowing they ain't out of place in the top league.

The new additions too, amongst them we may have a bloody gem.We know the likes of Schmeicel Huth albrighton will be solid and well we all know Jeff can be either magic or infuriating!!!...I can't wait to see how we get on...

I wish we didn't have the internet. I know this sounds odd (given the fact that I am using the internet to post this), but you have to pay attention to it because it's there, and it's to do with LCFC, you're an LCFC supporter and so you have to read it. It achieves nothing in football terms, apart from the streams. If we could just have the streams, then Foxestalk and Bentley's Roof and talkingballs could go hang themselves, as far as I'm concerned. We managed perfectly alright during the O'Neill years without having the internet, and we probably had more of a feeling of togetherness during that period than we will ever have again.

I know that one of the many good ideas of the internet is to get like-minded people together to discuss the subject of their choice in a forum. What in real terms happens is that people get driven apart far further than they would have been anyway. It's like talk radio in the US, or 'Have Your Say' on the BBC news website.

I would be very happy to just concentrate on Leicester City, without feeling wounded or getting wound up by people's comments. I am in mourning for Pearson, and would like to get over that in my own way. It'll probably take a while, but it'll happen. I have no feeling about Ranieri, other than a slight feeling that he ought to be keeping his trap shut until he's actually done something for Leicester City, but whatever. I have no interest at all in anything the pundits say - our season will be our season, for better or worse.

Unfortunately, the main thing about this season is likely to be the drama between Pearsonites and Ranieriites. It won't go away, and there's no stopping it. I just wish that it would be otherwise.
