davieG Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 We need to give it a few games to allow players like Shinji to find their touch. There was a lot of poor football this weekend from most teams it's the nature of early season.
johnny the fox Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 moaning we only scored 4 in our first match...when we score 7/8 you will be playing hell up it wasn't double figures.. ha ha .
Cat Burger Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 We really should have scored 6/7 on Saturday...Okazaki looked busy and tidy but he's NOT a finisher, neither is Vardy... Defoe had one chance and scored.. If he was in our side on Saturday he would have had 3/4!!... We still need a poacher, a natural Goalscorer.... Perhaps Charlie Austin? a) How many times have you seen Okazaki play? b) How many times has he played for us? c) Cretin
RowlattsFox Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 If we continue to create that much we will be fine, the problems occur when we only make a couple of chances and need to take them, especially away from home. Ulloa is probably the best finisher, although I do think Kramaric could be better with confidence but Vardy creates chances no-one else would.

Perhaps Charlie Austin? we score 4 on Saturday and one of our forwards scores one of them and you still ask this?!?!?!?!?!? we dont fully know about Okazaki, as he only had 1 chance from what I remember and I think most would have balls'd it up if they'd a put in a shift like he did on Saturday. All do respect to Austin, do we fully know he'll cut it second season? for all we know he could do a Michael Ricketts or a Marcus Stewart and have one good season then good missing for the rest of their careers
weller54 Posted 10 August 2015 Author Posted 10 August 2015 a) How many times have you seen Okazaki play? b) How many times has he played for us? c) Cretin Bit harsh calling him a Cretin!!
cc_star Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 Ulloa knows where the back of the net is, whether it's with his head or on the ground Think he'll play Vs West Ham next week as they're still a big team despite Big Sam's departure and we'll need Ulloa's skills at both ends of the pitch. Tinkerman's gonna Tinker
les-tah Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 Just waiting for K R A M A R I C to show us hes that finisher we think he is.
TOMBlcfc Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 Only we can moan after winning 4-2 and getting top of the table
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 The great thing about our team is that everyone chips in with the goals. Ulloa, Vardy, Okazaki will likely get nearly 10 each this season. Wouldn't be surprised if Mahrez did too. Albrighton, Nugent (if he's playing), Kram a few others will probably get 5 a piece, if not more. Schlupp, Morgan, Kante will get a few too. We don't need to rely on 1 or 2 high scorers which is great, because if you are and they have a dry spell or an injury, then you're buggered. Just carry on playing attacking football and people will score Share the wealth
ThingsCouldGetMessi Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 Personally think that Kramaric would prove his talent and worth if we gave him a run in the team. No reason to sign another striker when we have someone of his calibre lurking around to give a chance to.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 We most certainly don't need another striker Jesus wept
Great Boos Up Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 A Premier League instinctive finisher...Don't they cost about 30 million? And then we have to get them to sign.

Get yourself To spec savers the guys ran themselves and Sunderland into the ground, it was only then that they put two past us.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 I believe that we need a clinical finisher, and preferably one with some extra height. Any ideas who fits the bill.

Guest Col city fan Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 If Vardy was a cool finisher he'd get 30 goals a season. He can be completely unplayable AND make his own chances. A great example was the one where he picked the ball up just inside Sunderland's half, ran in on goal..and then missed... It must be difficult to run with so much pace and then have the composure to slot away a chance. Being a player like Austin must be easier to score goals..he's a slower player, lurks around the penalty area and takes half chances. If we had that twenty goal a season bloke, alongside Vardy..a player that could take chances when they come, we'd have pasted Sunderland...as in 6/7 to 2. I'd love to see a combo of Vardy and Austin..then again, is Kramaric that player? If he's not selected, we'll never know. If City pushed the boat out, paid the money and signed Austin, literally no Prem club would look forward to playing us. We look great now, with a real 'sniffer' added to the mix, we'd look even better.

simon789us Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 Trouble is people instinctive finishers cost many pound notes Austin would be a good addition imo

I can think of 3 strikers who are like Vardy with their pace and tenacity but with genuine world class finishing abilities. Aguero, Suarez and Alexis Sanchez.
weller54 Posted 10 August 2015 Author Posted 10 August 2015 Jordan Roades?.. Middlesbrough offered 12m... Worth a punt?
whoareyaaa Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 There is one on the bench mate, just needs time.
conLAD logan Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 I agree to a certain extent as finishing our chances has always been an issue, however would someone like Austin help link up the play or hinder us? There's no denying he can score goals but could he link up the play like nugent vardy ulloa kramaric okazaki to actually create these goal scoring opportunities? Only players who can do that in the world are you Suarez' sanchez' and messi's

Only players who can do that in the world are you Suarez' sanchez' and messi's Definitely Nuge's main strength and why I hated it when he was played up top. End of last season before the calf strain against West Brom and Spurs away as I recall he sat behind Ulloa and Vardy and it really worked well. Will definitely miss Dave, and he'll always be remembered well, just as he still is at Portsmouth. Sorry, your avi and member name always cracks me up, and detracts from what you post.
Big_Nige Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 Jordan Roades?.. Middlesbrough offered 12m... Worth a punt? Behave, he'd be 5th choice. Waste of money. If, and I personally don't think we need another striker, but if we were to go and spend some serious money then Austin should be priority as he has a track record in the prem. He can score different types of goals and has the knack of being in the right place.
