League Cup 2015/16

Imagine what could've been in the next round for us with all these Premier League clubs out now...

... Manchester City.

Away as well, it's cities cup to throw away

Can't see past Man City winning this, they are ruthlessly dismantling Premier League clubs this season in all competitions and they've got at least one Championship side to face.

Posted

Can't see why Van Gaal has started pushing Martial out wide when he looked a handful up front. Even worse when you replace him with Rooney who's been utterly turd this season at times. Every first touch from him tonight seemed to bounce off him

FFS, he barely missed a penalty for us. People won't stop criticising him even when he has left

He had a very average penalty record for us.

Is anyone even that surprised by Middlesbrough winning at Man Utd? They are honestly dire, one of the worst excuses for a top side I've seen.

Forest at home - missed

Bolton at home - missed

West Ham at home - missed

They're three off top of my head

Scored 12, missed 4. That's decent, arguably average. Very average implies that you basically think he was a bit shit.

That's pretty average to be honest.

Most good penalty takers would only miss a handful, if that, their whole careers.

Nugent missed 4 in two seasons, 25% miss rate is very average.

Scored some important ones though - Reading at home 1-0, Derby at home to go 3-1 up, Man United at home to make it 2-3

Considering he'd never taken a penalty in his whole career until he joined City, I don't think he's done to bad scoring 75%.

As much as I'm not a fan of the league cup, looks a bit like an opportunity missed now.

Because we'd be likely to beat Man City away in the next round?

No. I knew Middlesbrough would give them a good game.

LVG I just don't rate him, thet look so poor, currently I'm confident of us getting something against them.

Middlesbrough v Everton

Southampton v Liverpool

Stoke City v Sheffield Wednesday

Manchester City v Hull City

Not sure what to expect. Manchester City should go through, and you could argue Stoke as well but that's about it. i think Southampton/Liverpool and Middlesbrough/Everton will be tight.

It's not really important as he doesn't play for us anymore, and he did a good job when he was here, but that is not a good record at all.

The draw is done before the games are played?!

I don't get what he's added to them other than making them good at keeping the ball. They keep the ball yet do nothing with it. It's a bit embarrassing really hearing this "they had more possession" as if it's some daylight robbery that they haven't won. If there's one thing I've learnt from Leicester in the past couple of years it's that it means absolutely nothing. I don't think we've had more possession in a game all season and we've won 7 times out of 13.

If that Blind own goal had counted I think it would've been the worst I've ever seen. All he had to do was push the ball a yard in front of him for a corner and yet he did that instead, whatever it was. It was strange to watch.

The worst thing is those with him in their fantasy team have actually bagged extra points this week for a clean sheet. Unreal.

You may have inferred that but I wasn't implying it.

The average percentage of penalties scored is 75%-ish (in fact in the premier league it's 85% since 1992).

Nugent scored exactly 75%. Average. "Very" average even!
