come on give it a break. He has the potential to be a star. Yes he has his issues, so have others at our team and some have reformed, ie Stan Collymore. He hasn't been signed yet, if he is I will back the club and him and not until he plays up or does not display the right level of performance or desire will I change that opinion.

No he doesn't have the potential to be a star. He is a handy finisher and strong on the ball that's it. He is a worse player now than when he was 19 as injuries have taken a bit of pace from him.

He can't cross, he can't tackle, he can't dribble, he can't run the channels, he can't maintain a high work rate he hasn't got an eye for a pass.

He even lost his place in the Italy team.

It would be an easy answer to say that he would be an upgrade on Ulloa, and in the circumstances before the last couple of seasons I would agree, but Ulloa easily outscored him last season and that was without being supplied by Coutinho and Sterling.

Give me Ulloas work ethic and goals over Balotellis laziness/attitude (and wages!) and so called 'potential' every day of the week.

Let's just hope there isn't any substance to these rumours.

Are you serious?  I really think you over estimate your ability to judge players skills and ability.  Thank god you are not involved in the day to day of running a club and especially ours.  tell what your thoughts were on any of these players before they kicked a ball for us, and be honest.  James Vardy?  Danny Drinkwater? Leonardo Ulloa?  Shinji Okazak? just to mention a few.  i really doubt you gave any of them a positive mark before they kicked a ball for us.  tell me who you have been right about and proves by adding the orignial post.

I, and I am sure the bulk of self respecting fans will back the club's judgement.  They have earn't it.  You haven't.

If we were to sign the balotelli that ripped England to pieces at the world cup then yes I'd take him 100%.... the only problem is you see the lazy balotelli at Liverpool more, if it was a loan though I think I'd take a gamble, worst case scenario he's lazy disruptive and awful we just send him back, best case we get a hungry young world class player hes capable of being eager to prove many wrong knowing his chances are becoming more and more limited

exactly.  I would be surprised if it were a permanent move at this stage, but is possible.  Maybe we are the beneficiaries of his bad performance and fit at Liverpool and he wants to show everyone what he really is capable of. What is the real risk?  And sometimes to go forward you have to take a risk. Those knocking almost every name mentioned to join us is very often knocked and tends to be by the same folk.  I don't get it.  Who do they want realistically? Messi and Ronaldo are not coming here, neither is Bale and co.  If a guy like Balotelli wants to restart his career here with the support of Ranieri then great.

I think the media scapegoats him, although he doesn't help himself!

This guys got great ability and also potential to far surpass any of the strikers we currently have. IMO I think the rewards out way the risk. Players like balotelli won't come around too often to leicester. Embrace him as a maverick, support the guy for who he is and support the manager and back room staff if they believe balotelli will do a job for us!

No, to move forward you don't have to take a risk. Not like balotelli anyway! Have you not seen how well we've recruited for years now!

How can't you understand how disruptive he could be? He's wrecked his own career with his behaviour and attitude. Even Mancini who has defended him so many times have up on him.

As for if he's better than ulloa don't even get me started. Ok, he might be able to occasionally score a bicycle kick every 100 games, but just remind me how he did last season? And how ulloa did?

Balotelli has much more experience at this level than Leo and scored 1 in 16 in the prem. Ulloa got 11 in his first season.

What would be the benefits of signing him!? He'll cause chaos wherever he goes.

Do you really think he'll come in and score 15+ for us? He wouldn't even be near our squad IMO

Geeze!! And a few people think he'll be a good signing??!! He shouldn't be allowed to take a Premier League wage!! What an over paid spoilt brat!!

Actually, if he tried that at Leicester, I think he would get to know a certain Polish player very well!

Not to mention ripping Germany to pieces in '12, won the cup for City in '11, set up the title winning goal for Aguero in '12, destroyed United at Old Trafford etc etc etc. The guy is a beast, he's unplayable when he wants to be. If a manager could harness those abilities for even half a season....

voice of reason.  On his day can be unbeatable.  Yes he has a lot of work to do to be a long term success and team mate but could be a star.

lol  people would rather have Trevor Benjamin.

This forum is a joke.

I'd rather have Trevor Benjamin's grandma playing for us than Balotelli.
