Long Eaton Fox Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 All of our signings so far are non British, although I'm impressed with all of them. I would prefer a mostly English/British team as I feel most most people can relate to that. It would seem that the higher we would like to progress, the less indigenous our team becomes. What is the compromise?
The Railway Man Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 Maybe, but if you want to challenge at the top it's something that will happen.
Donut Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 The comprimise is a Leicester team that stands for everything I believe in as a fan, players giving 110% every week, a harmonious squad with talent who entertain and play as we would as fans, with passion for the badge. Add that to having a manager who is astute and has a wealth of experience to carry on the foundations laid by Pearson, im more than happy.
HighPeakFox Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 I don't know where to start really in response to either of the first 2 posts. So I won't

What is the compromise? That's just modern footbal my friend. Whilst we are mostly recruiting from overseas we still have a good number of British players imo. We need quality to push on as a club and quality English players are horribly overpriced

What is the compromise? We lost our identity when mad Mandy took over. Accept it or not but we would not be second in the league without overseas cash and foreign players who are better than we had.
Collibosher70 Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 don't care where they're from if it means we win and compete
Corky Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 No, we have an entertaining, exciting team full of skilful and hard working players. The nationality doesn't matter, the performance does.

What is the compromise? Oh dear...tell you what, let's sell Mahrez so we can bring back Jack Hobbs...or better still, get rid of Ulloa and herald the return of Fryatt.
matty98 Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 I couldn't care less where a player comes from, as long as they give 100% for the club that's all that matters

Harry - LCFC Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 I don't think so. The drive and desire to win is still there from last season from the looks of things. I can't say I like the idea of having a squad that is entirely non-British though.
foxfanazer Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 Kante, Mahrez and Okazaki out Wellens, Williams and Fryatt in
Corky Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 Kante, Mahrez and Okazaki out Wellens, Williams and Elvis Hammomd in Born in Ghana.
wolfgang amadeus Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 To be fair our team on Saturday consisted of: Wes Morgan - Born In Nottingham Schlupp - Grew up in England Albrighton - Born in Birmingham King - Born in Devon Drinkwater - Born in Manchester Vardy - Born in Sheffield Not really a problem in my opinion.
bob gregory Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 Agreed Kante, Mahrez and Okazaki out Wellens, Williams and Elvis Hammomd in
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 I love our mix. Mahrez, Vardy, Okazaki, Schlupp, Huth, Schmeichel... Don't give two hoots where you're from, if you play through your skin in a Leicester shirt, you've got my thumbs up.
