Yoao Alverson. The worst ever City player to be given the number 9 shirt. 

 

In fact, probably the worst player ever to have given the number 9 shirt in any squad in England. 

did he actually exist? don't remember him ever playing for us and he doesn't even pop up when you google search him

I know. I can't remember him either – that's why I mentioned him (that being the title of the thread)! 

 

Maybe he didn't actually exist – perhaps a dude called Joe Alvers in Enderby created him on Football Manager and one drunken night decided to add it on to that 2005-06 squad list on Wikipedia. 

A myth is born.

Stephen Clemence, though not his fault for the career-ending injury.

 

I thought at the time that him and Matt Oakley would be the 'rocks' in central midfield. lol

Terry Fenwick on loan from Spurs. Forest left sided midfielder Kjetil (pronounced Kettle) Osvold on loan at the same time as the return of the Mac - Kevin MacDonalds brief loan spell back from Liverpool.
