Kitchandro Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I thought he started last season very well too, then like so many went off the boil. Let's hope today's match wasn't this season's 5-3 v Man Utd, that was 5 games in, very similar match, we were all impressed then inexplicably went 13 without a win!
deejdeej Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 He did a bobby moore-esque tackle in terms 2nd half on sinclair I think it was. Judged it perfectly.
LCCFox96 Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Stepped up so well this season. Long live it. An absolute man mountain at the back against Villa. Although I thought Drinkwater just edged him today, he's looked every bit a PL CB this season.
Chelve84 Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I thought wes and drinkwater were brilliant today. Unsung hero's
Clever Fox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I also thought Morgan was a best player today along with Drinkwater. His timing in the tackle is so much better than last year. He's up to speed with the season after his int matches. Huth on the other hand looked decidedly slow.
HighPeakFox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Wondering if Huth and Cambiasso were working together..........I agree he doesn't look the same somehow

fuchsntf Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 I have to ask the REAL regulars.....???? over a season I see only 90-92% of games, now for last and this season, no games at the KP or in any stadium. Was this game against Villa, one of his top 3 games for Leicester. Yesterday his movement going forward was top, his positioning in defence was top, the word "calamity" has been since last Febuary thrown out of the window. He his now pairing well with Huth. Wasi was 'my man' last season but we are not missing him this season, plus non of our defenders will get away with injuries, so we will see him at least this season again Yesterday we saw 4 vintage older CBs...Huth-Morgan,..Lescott-Richards, 5 goals but I dont think any goal lay at their feet, 4 great performances, where IMO Wes was a tick ahead of his counterparts.I must honestly say I didnt think any of them still had it in them, now I believe they all could give both their clubs 2-3 seasons more.So much so I see Villa end in the top 12, and dream of city holding a top 8 ( really going cosmos with top 6). Thinking of the near future, both clubs now need to use these inspirational players, to help develope and discover, new young talent. At the moment though ,all 4 should ride the waves and in Wes we have a top surfer.
johnny the fox Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 I love this bloke... the stick he has taken is total bollocks,,, just track back and see are progress since he has joined this club, then shut the fook up..

Presume you just watched the video? Was about to come on here and post similar, seems crazy that he's not one of the fan favourites despite being captain these last few years, obviously has a big impact on the pitch and off it and very proud to have the lad leading us out on a matchday. Never seems to get wound up by the opposition, prone to a few mistakes (as every centre back is) but has improved every season and you can never fault his effort or determination to win.

Guest Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Still hard to get out of your head how bad he was from Oct-Feb last season.
Lambert09 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Agree with some of the other posts. I don't think people will appreciate how good he has been until after he's gone. I think we'd be surprised at how much we would suffer without him
Clever Fox Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 With no real break in the summer I had my doubts how he'd perform early season. But he's been immense with last ditch blocks and tackles to prevent goals. Yes he's prone too the odd mistake but you have to put yourself in the positions to be able to make the mistakes in the first place. He has taken stick from all of us at times but he never complained once just accepted it and you can never question his commitment to the club.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 I think he's started the season really well to be fair. He does do a lot of key stuff for us.
Lionator Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 I hope history treats Wes well and he gets compared to some of our best defenders ever, because he never gets the credit he deserves.
Len Finsbury Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Nice to see the change in him as a player this season. At times last season he really did look as though he was struggling. Experience does that, I suppose - which is exactly why we should be patient with some of our other players that have underperformed since arriving in the summer. Morgan is a perfect example of how to turn people's opinions around.
Mad Dog Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 Big Wes. One of my favourite players, and a quick word on how well he has been playing this year, despite having about 10 days off over the whole summer. See he's off to Jamaica again this week. I think he's a big part of this squad, clearly well liked by his teammates, and best of all, he hates Forest.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 He has been great this season but people who criticised him at times last season were right to do so imo, he had a couple of months where he was well off the pace, but obviously Pearson was right to stick with him to give him the top flight experience so he can be blossoming now. Definitely our best defender this season.
hackneyfox Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 I hope history treats Wes well and he gets compared to some of our best defenders ever, because he never gets the credit he deserves. He's definitely been much improved recently but he's far from being comparable to some of our best defenders.
les-tah Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 He's not in the Jamaican team for no reason .. He's earnt that spot
Izzy Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Big Wes. and best of all, he hates Forest. Does he? I thought he had a Forest tattoo?
