NewburyFox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 For me he was our MOTM today. He struggled with the pace of the Premier League at times last season, particularly the speed of thought needed, but he's started this season absolutely superbly and he was a rock at the back today. He's bringing the ball out of defence more, he's composed on the ball, he doesn't dive in and that tackle today on Sinclair was just perfection. It's great to see how he's adapted to the Premier League and he's looking a steal at £800k - £1m. Well done Wes...
johnny the fox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Wes has stepped up this season without a real break..a true premier league player now.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Exellent game today, some of his tackles were so old fashioned and so well executed!100% agree MOTM closely followed by Kante
The Horse's Mouth Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 It is pretty funny how Huth helped carry him last season and now it's completely the other way round this season
Finnegan Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Shades of Sol Bamba (the good bits) today with his bombing forward like an animal at the end. Scouse summed it up, we didn't have a formation!
kingfox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Top post, was my MOTM as well. Been solid & consistent so far, hopefully he keeps it up.
Izzy Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 The same 'calamity Morgan' many slated last year. A perfect example of why we need to give Inler time to adjust rather than writing him off after a few games.
ScouseFox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 there was a tackle by the dugout towards the end (think it was at 2-2?) where he nearly killed whoever he tackled. immense.
lgfualol Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Looks incredibly comfortable at Premier League level now.
fleckneymike Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Not being negative but we need to be wary of burn out with Wes, he's not had a rest due to his commitments with Jamaica so 'if' he does dip then he needs to be cut some slack.
sdb Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Excellent today. Still not sure he and Huth are ever going to keep a clean sheet in a 442 though.
Jimmy Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Not being negative but we need to be wary of burn out with Wes, he's not had a rest due to his commitments with Jamaica so 'if' he does dip then he needs to be cut some slack. if he's dropped for losing form rather than keeping his place due to an armband people will, its when someone is "undroppable" despite playing crap they get upset
Pasty1 Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Agreed..... Thought he was brilliant all round today..... Pity with that Header..... they always seem to do that.... On the other hand Huth seems a bit rash in the tackles sometimes....

First post I have ever seen from you that i 100% agree with
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Yep wes was superb today. Probably man of the match for me.
BoyJones Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Always like Morgan. IMO now ahead of Huth in performance terms. Some players don't need a rest, I think Wes has benefited from his international games in the summer. Getting to the final may have given him new belief / confidence. Really pleased for him.
Max Power Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Been significantly better than Huth this season. Which is both surprising and a bit worrying. A couple of cracking one-on-one tackles today, especially in the second half when we were pushing and a bit stretched.
Mikey Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Was class today. Put everything into it and came out on top in everything he did. Great performance.
foxfanazer Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 He's been streets ahead of Huth so far this season. Fair play to him
STUHILL Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Absolute class for us. Better than Huth this season and great at attacking corners and even makes good runs forward with the ball too. Really stepped up and one of the first names on the sheet now. Gotta love BIg Wes
