ed_phelan Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 Doesn't seem to be getting much of a look in at the moment. I thought that he had a decent debut season, even if he did drop off in the winter. But looks as if he's third or fourth choice up top now, behind Vardy and Okazaki, and possibly even Kramaric. Is that fair? What's the feeling? Will he stay as a handy backup? Will his time to shine come? Or is he going to perhaps go out on loan, or even be sold?
Captain... Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 How do you figure he is behind Kramaric, when Kramaric has made no league appearances and Ulloa has made 2 (although one was only for a minute) and been on the bench for every match, which Kramaric hasn't? His deal is he is third choice at the moment and offers something different when we need it, but at the moment we want to play fast counter attacking football on the floor. He will get his chances and he needs to take them. If he doesn't like that he has 2 choices, work harder or fvck off.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 if we play two upfront vs Stoke it should be Vardy and Ulloa i hope . but i think we will play Vardy and Mahrez in the hole behind him .
stox259 Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 I would say £22k a week until June 30th 2018 Probably add ons and potential image right deals into this too but hopefully that gives you a ball park idea.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 Deal is pretty simple, we've made a new signing up front who has, for now, taken his place in the 11.
Babylon Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 Someone needs to sit on the bench, we need to accept now that good players will end up not playing all the time. That's what happens when your team improves.

RedSoxUK Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 We looked very flat against Villa - ignoring the final 20 minute massacre, that was the worst football the 11 has played (except perhaps Morgan) since before the run last season. Okazaki didn't do enough again, shame - he does seem a hit/miss player. Perhaps Ulloa will get his starting chance against Stoke, he was brilliant away at Stoke last season, we'll be needing more height and a phsyical presence against them, and it's entirely possible Ulloa will get a start instead of Okazaki. He's just down the order atm.
FireFox Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 Claudio did say before the season that he would need more time getting fit because he's a big guy? Not sure if that really makes sense, but it is possible he wasn't completely fit. Also obviously, Okazaki took his place, and we haven't really needed him to come off the bench too much because of tactical reasons. Also his lover Cambiasso leaving him might have hit him hard. I think Claudio speaks some Spanish? But I doubt anyone in the squad can. Still our record signing and last seasons top goal scorer though. He'll have a role to play.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 Helped change the game Sunday. We needed a presence up top and he did very well.
Jordan Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 Helped change the game Sunday. We needed a presence up top and he did very well. He did. Horses for courses. If Ulloa does well in training, he will have an important role to play for his team--even if it's a diminished role from last season.
LCCFox96 Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 I'd wager and hope he will start on Saturday. He's earned it - played well in his two current appearances and Okazaki's form has dipped.
Wymsey Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 One of the strongest at the front, so it's a must start against Stoke. Worry at times when he misplaces quite a few passes but there's much worse out there. Stoke isn't a game for Kramaric out of topic.
Jackster21 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Leo was our top scorer last season with 13 goals which I think is good. Why don't we start playing Ulloa in more league games? Vardy and Okazaki are good, but Okazaki hasn't been scoring a lot so far this season, and Vardy is doing well this season but last season he only got 5 goals when Leo got 13.
lgfualol Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Probably because of Okazaki's pace, works well for is on the counter whereas Ulloa takes about 10 minutes to run the length of the pitch. I think Ulloa will be 2nd choice again though. Dropping Vardy is suicide.
Frost Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Should start Ulloa. Okazaki spends half the game on the floor.
Littletoe Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 You're looking too much into the past mate. Leo still has an important role at this club, we all know that. Okazaki is complementing Vardy at the moment and it's worked for the past 6 games. Don't get me wrong, I love Ulloa just as much as the next city fan, but it's as though you're questioning Ranieris decisions, which I don't at this current moment. Still early yet.
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Okazaki isn't exactly fast though. Not sure he's cutting it at the minute. Would like to see Leo.
Harry - LCFC Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Okazaki was very good early on, now he's tailing off a bit with Ulloa doing reasonably when he's come on I'd expect him to get more games. You can't involve every player all the time.
foxfan92 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 With a strong argument for fuchs to start playing more Jeff might get pushed up field more and when Dyer is fit too might be the case that we see 2 of Albrighton Jeff or Dyer on wings with Mahrez behind Vardy. Love Leo but think he's going to be more an impact sub or someone to use against a defence he can bully than a regular starter at the moment.
Charl91 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Would like to see Ulloa or Kramaric today. Okazaki hasn't been great recently, and both Ulloa and Kram scored against Arsenal last season.
Foxhateram Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 He's not in the team because he has the first touch of a ...... Seriously though. He is a big threat to have against the more physical back lines I. E. Stoke.
