Freesolo Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 We drew with spurs who just beat Man City 4-1, the result is not a worry for me although Claudio is def going to work on the defencive side of things
I blame Wellens Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Players can't play 442 it is that simple
Freesolo Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Players can't play 442 it is that simple we have 12 points? how cant we play 442
Callabinho Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Was an open game, we tried to play like we always do but without being "perfect" it was never going to happen. Ultimately we made a few mistakes which seriously cost us, which will always will when you make mistakes against sides like Arsenal. I would like to have seen three at the back but that's something we can work at next game possibly? We move on.
KP Fox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Come on guys. get a grip! It was Arsenal! With a little luck we would have scored from the one that hit the post, plus the one that hit the bar, 2 penalty claimsI personally would prefer to lose 2-5 against them than draw 0-0
cityfanlee23 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Also, for me Morgan sometime looks a bit disinterested, when mistakes are made, sometimes bollockings and reminders to switch on are needed from him which I don't really see him giving players, he just looks at the floor instead of giving orders. He is meant to be the Leader. Drinkwater would I feel relish the Captains armband, you do see him shouting and ordering players to be in position. He's really surprised me how much of a leader he is in midfield, wonder if Cambiasso had a word before he left, obviously he's picked up a fair bit, different player this year,
TheMightySystem Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 When the opposite team can push 5 players forward on the counter that have the movement, passing and finishing ability that Arsenal have they will have allot of shots on target against a four man defence. I have watched a few of their previous games and they have always looked threatening but just haven't been as lethal as they were today. On another day Walcott might have missed their first and Vardy might have scored 4, its just how football is. I am proud of the players as even at 4-1 down they still went for a second with only a few minutes remaining, not giving up and that is all i can ask of the team. With the manager I would like to see three at the back against the bigger clubs but seeing how the 4-4-2 has worked so far this season with us gaining 12 points so far I wont criticise him too much. If we start loosing by this scoreline against bottom half teams then i will be asking serious questions, but as we have not in Ranieri I trust.

Frank to be Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Players can't play 442 it is that simple you what?
Jattdogg Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 If our defense and midfield can put in a better defensive showing we got no worries. Id like to see fuchs brought in. Feel like we are missing a dominating outspoken defender.
Frank to be Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 You heard We've got 12 points from 7 premier league games playing 442 and you say "the players can't play 442". We also won the championship playing 442 with several of the same players. Very misinformed comment.
lifted*fox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 We went for it which is what we should do against teams like Arsenal at home, why not? Positives, we scored 2 against Arsenal. Negatives, probably time to start with Ulloa over Okazaki for me. He works but doesn't really offer much alongside another small forward like Vardy. Shame his header didn't find the net though, would have been a different game. Good to see the fans stick behind the boys until the end. Referee deserved the booing he got and the linesman on the left was a ****ing useless piece of shit. Aside from that, an interesting game to watch and result to be expected really. Only way to avoid that would be to line up with a horrendously defensive setup and we'd have still lost 0-1 or something. Up the Foxes.

Weller in Tights Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Anyone else think Kasper had a poor game? Or the defence was just that bad? They had 26 attempts on goal. Just my doubts are starting to creep in about Kasper. Never been the biggest fan of Kasper. Never really bothered questioning his position as so many seem to think he's his dad. The thing is he's not. He is not as tall as his dad and so fails at crosses and his distribution is poor. Don't get me wrong, he's not rubbish, but he's certainly not great. Thought our defence ( apart from Huth) were poor. Ah, well, still enjoying it, let's have a win against the farmers next week. COYB
Strokes Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 I thought we were unlucky, lots of chances early on to give them trouble. It just didn't come off for us today.
sphericalfox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 We could have been easily 3 goals up before they equalised. We were always going to get punished by Arsenal if we played our regular game and not capitalise early. We were knackered in the second half and made too many unforced errors, to which a weaker team might not have taken advantage of, but we were playing Arsenal. I think we can at least say we gave it a go. We need to brush this off and move on.
Freesolo Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Come back to me after the next ten games no its you that has to come back after 10 games 442 has got us 12 points
Webbo Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 We were well beaten, no one can deny that but all this criticism is way over the top. We were never going to stay in the top 4 forever, we're not going to play Arsenal every week. The target has always been survival and we're still well on target to achieve that.
DB11 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 We are letting in too many goals period, whether it's the defence or the general set up. Only Sunderland have let in more. We have 2 full backs who prefer attacking and 2 centre halves not blessed with pace. Would you prefer the year we were relegated from the Championship? Best defence in the league but where did that get us
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Our good start has got a few people on here a bit blasé and forget this is only our 2nd year in the Prem! I think 17th is still the target, we look a very good team going forward and I'd take that rather than be a Norwich who look solid but will struggle to win games because they are poor going forward. Take: the positives, we scored 2 and hit the bar twice against a top team. It's very difficult to pour forward in this league while still staying solid at the back and Claudio has done a great job in balancing the 2 so far
Socks Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 good game we look great going forward not too peed off by that, i will be if we start on slump but Im sure not many other teams will score like that against up defence needs sorting and we could finsih top half
Number 6 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 They were just too good in possession for Kanté to get into the game and thus we couldn't disrupt them. They played well, we didn't hit the heights we can and Mahrez had an off game. Pick ourselves up for Norwich.
Claridge Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 I thought we were unlucky, lots of chances early on to give them trouble. It just didn't come off for us today. Thought we played quite well, but they were excellent on the break
Harry - LCFC Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Agree- we are great to watch at the minute. Can only be good for the football club. A few people said before the game that losing wouldnt be a massive shock so just go for it and that's certainly what we did! I think the fans that went to the KP today got their money's worth! It's not a trip to the cinema you know, I don't get any enjoyment from seeing my team beaten. If you were watching as a neutral you might say that but not when it's your team getting beaten. I start questioning whether people even have the same priorities as me when this sort of thing gets said.
