Arsenal's quality and our lack of strength in defence really showed - time to shift to 3 at the back or swap some personnel around in my opinion. We also looked burned out from the high tempo we always play at, Mahrez especially was awful. A positive is Jamie Vardy, looks brilliant so far and scored two great goals.

That last goal, 2 goals down in injury time and leaving ourselves open at the back like we had a chance of equalising. Mahrez has to stop trying to beat every team on his own.

No complaints about the performance - we were outclassed despite a couple of dodgy decisions. Bring on the next game, proud of the boys today. Agree- we are great to watch at the minute. Can only be good for the football club. A few people said before the game that losing wouldnt be a massive shock so just go for it and that's certainly what we did! I think the fans that went to the KP today got their money's worth!

The Doctor Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Weird given he scored a hat trick but I thought de laet shackled Sanchez quite well for the most part. Didn't deserve to lose by that many either. Credit to arsenal second half, very professional, just killed the game and turned the screw when we started to threaten, but until their second we were on top, and the game pivots on the tap tackle from koscielny, which unfortunately for us, the ref somehow misses. Score line very much doesn't tell the full story.

TMELcfc Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Our defence has been poor all season! Wake up you lot! We haven't kept a clean sheet or even looked like keeping one. We've just come up against average sides. Today we've punished and I doubt teams will fear us as much now after that. Whatever way you look at it or try and dress it up, we've conceded 5 at home. Not good enough. On a positive, Vards superb again... Worry we'll rely on him though as Kram Ulloa and Okazaki don't look like they'll score anytime soon

I'd rather stick to our own principles than trying to stop the opposition. Look how that worked out for us last year. Arsenal took us on at our game and were better at it, no shame in that. And we still scored twice. Onwards and upwards!!

I would like to see Marshall from Cardiff
whoareyaaa Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 It would have required a lot to beat a team like Arsenal so not to worried about this result, however we do need to perform better defensively Fuchs has to start next game and Benny looked solid in midweek so should be given a chance. Going forward we are fine it just that we leave to many holes at the back and against a team like Arsenal you will get punished hence the 5 goals. Overall we played pretty well though.
