m4DD0gg Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Oh and rdl played the best iv seen in a long time even though sanchez bagged a hatrick.
yorkie1999 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 1 nil up, should have booted them of the park. 1 nil up, should have booted them of the park.
ARM1968 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 They're better at attacking fast than we are. Our defence really isn't working well. So far their failings have been masked by our attacking prowess. Is 352 the answer? I imagine Claudio will stick with it against Norwich.
Benji Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Important next game now. Pick up and go again.
Blanesta Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 I don't mind losing these games, Arsenal are a fantastic team! But they show our defensive frailties today, even Sunderland scored against us! So it's certainly something we need to work on.
Jattdogg Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 We need to take serious points from the nect few games because december is horrid for us if im not mistaken. Shake it off boys we got this!
Webbo Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Okazaki was actually good for me You're the only 1.
HesNotGudjonsonn2 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Mahrez looked knackered. The defence could be a little pacier in the centre but I am sure this will get addressed.
ARM1968 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 No disgrace really I should add. Arsenal can do that to way better sides than us. Bounce back and fight hard at Norwich.
cityfanlee23 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 4 at the back is a long term solution in my opinion, Don't think 3-5-2 is sustainable in the premier league. Arsenal were top class, Mahrez was blind, and we were so open at the back it was embarrassing... It was strange though, surely it's common sense that attacking arsenal 9/10 is football suicide?
Mark Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Can't help but feel we need a back 3 or midfield 3 against these big sides with the personal we have. To have neither along with our gung ho tactics was a recipe for disaster. It's entertaining though
cityfanlee23 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 First defeat in forever, 4 points off top spot. There's nobody on this forum that wouldn't have taken that at the start of the season. 100% but if you can't improve the team on form you can never improve! best time to iron out the creases IMO.
DennisNedry Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Arsenal are a class above us, always have been and always will be. We acquitted ourselves well for much of the first half, but were undone by some terrible defending.
Salieri Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Wish he would try 3 at the back but ain't gonna happen by the looks of it. Has to replace Schlupp and Okazaki with Fuchs and Ulloa next time out. Positives for me were the performances of Drinkwater, Vardy and De Laet. Expected to lose but defensively we are very worrying at the moment.
Freesolo Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Its one game against one of the best sides in Europe! I still feel we are good enough for 40 points. It was Arsenal on their best form and its obvious they are a class act, i think the score line is a bit flattering TBH
DennisNedry Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Defence is definitely a big problem.. only Sunderland have conceded more.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Not a reflective score line by all accounts However well played Arsenal, score 5 away generally you deserve to win That said, not defence bashing but we aren't t good enough
Vacamion Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 In all fairness, at 1-0 we hit the bar, only for them to charge up the other end and score. It might have been very different at half time, but once they got in front their class told. We move on.
Livid Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 I didn't think we were awful just up against a real quality side who were at their best today. No complaints
steflcfc Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Also, for me Morgan sometime looks a bit disinterested, when mistakes are made, sometimes bollockings and reminders to switch on are needed from him which I don't really see him giving players, he just looks at the floor instead of giving orders. He is meant to be the Leader. Drinkwater would I feel relish the Captains armband, you do see him shouting and ordering players to be in position.
I blame Wellens Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Problem not the defence or our shit keeper but the manager
TMELcfc Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Defence is definitely a big problem.. only Sunderland have conceded more. And that is the final nail in the coffin regarding our defending. Shocking, no better, in fact worse, than last season. We can't out score teams every week. I think Ranieri now has an excuse to bring in players like Benny and Fuchs without changing a winning team.
