Who's your hate team?

Newcastle. Don't know exactly why - might be down to Shearer and the whole Lennon incident, or also because around that time they kept beating us (I remember being heartbroken when they beat us 4-3... Well I was 12 after all). The other thing is that they're supposedly this "massive" club but all they've won in my father's life time is a couple of Championship titles and the Intertoto Cup. The last few years though they've become this club that just will not get relegated despite having zero quality, and their solution to this perennial crisis? Hire Steve MacLaren! He's never achieved a single thing. This must be the season they go down - now that Krul is ruled out for the season I really hope it happens now.

Also Liverpool. Just because they've been surviving on pure arrogance for the last 30 years (with flashes of quality).

The OH is from Long Eaton (which she maintains is in Nottingham. It's not. I've shown her a map and everything) and her family and friends are all Derby and Forest fans. Most deluded bunch of fans out there.

Her friends boyfriend bragged about that Derby were at the top of the Championship and asked for my comment on it. Told him I didn't know that they were because I don't look at the Championship table as we're not in it. Then claimed that the season that we went up that Derby were a better side even though we played them three times and beat them... three times, went up as CHAMPIONS and finished on 102 points.

Then I showed him this:

13 Nov 2010 Leicester City v Derby County W 2-0 League Championship 12 Feb 2011 Derby County v Leicester City W 0-2 League Championship 01 Oct 2011 Leicester City v Derby County W 4-0 League Championship 23 Feb 2012 Derby County v Leicester City W 0-1 League Championship 01 Dec 2012 Leicester City v Derby County W 4-1 League Championship 16 Mar 2013 Derby County v Leicester City L 2-1 League Championship 17 Aug 2013 Derby County v Leicester City W 0-1 League Championship 24 Sep 2013 Leicester City v Derby County W 2-1 Capital One Cup 10 Jan 2014 Leicester City v Derby County W 4-1

League Championship

I despise Florist though. Think they're bigger than they are. Last time they were in the Prem was 1998/99.Last thing they won was in 1989/1990. I'm 26 and I was only just born then!

They've won nothing for years apart from that Clough Cup rubbish which is more embarrassing than that Reading song.

Spurs, I ****ing despise everything about them,

It isn't sour grapes but it has stemmed from the 99 League Cup final,

I was 12 at the time and sat about 15 yards from them twats. They were the most vile, petty bunch of 'humans' I've ever encountered.

I remember driving down to the game and my Step-Dad saying 'even if we lose, we're staying to clap them', The goal went in, in stoppage time and the abuse I got was disgraceful, my step-dad said 'come on I'm not allowing you to be subjected to this, we're off'. Instead of celebrating the fact their side had won the league cup, the bastards decided to pick on a 12 year old. I mean really go for it; pointing directly at me and saying stuff I'd never heard of at that age, throwing stuff at me (some of which hit me) everything

I would love nothing more than to see that club go bust

Oh and I hate United too,

Coventry- Deluded fans can't fill their stadium.

Forest- living in the past

Derby- mongy fan base

Watford - utter ****** that live on a goal that meant nothing only bit of history.

Villa - Belive they deserve to have top half finishes and win cups but they're dire.

Newcastle/Sunderland- woeful teams, boring football

United/Arsenal/Chelsea/Liverpool - deluded fanbases. Ground full of tourists

Norwich - nothing team charging ridiculous prices to watch a nothing team.

I would agree with that on that basis - I was there too, around the same age (I think it was a week after my 14th birthday) and though I don't think we deserved to win based on the 90 mins we certainly didn't deserve to lose, especailly not in the manner that we did. That last gasp goal was a sucker punch, (but I do remember thinking the sight of 38,000 people opposite me all jumping as one and celebrating was kind of fascinating and beautiful in a way). Walking out with my dad and the other dejected City fans there some Spurs fans who had clearly been in the pub instead of Wembley who were walking towards us, celebrating and goading us, clearly trying to provoke. Probably shouldn't have told them to fvck off.

Funnily enough I moved to New Zealand back in 2011 and because the RWC had just started jobs were quite scarce, and after swearing off retail (thanks to Blacks and Millets) I ended up having to work in another outdoor retail store. My boss was a Spurs fan who had been in at Wembley that day and we ended up getting on really well - usually through chatting over City and Spurs and football as a whole. He used to let me pump the RL commentary through the shop floor's PA system so I could listen to Tuesday night matches live on a Wednesday morning! Lovely bloke, softened my dislike for Spurs a little bit

Forest always used to be the game I'd look out for when we were a lower league side - never really that arsed about Derby as it always seemed a routine 4-0 / 4-1 / 2-0 win for years on end so there was no sense of competition.

Can't really say I feel anything for Coventry, shit side who aren't playing at any sort of level where they can annoy anyone.

In the Premier League now I've a massive, massive dislike for Villa (**** their fans, **** tactics Tim, **** the fact they've shat the league out for five years, **** Gabby Agbonlahor and his shit facial hair and droopy features that makes him look like a Vice City pimp) and Sunderland and Newcastle (fans with senses of entitlement, everybody assuming that big gates = "good" supporters when for the majority they're boo boys who leave on 60 minutes but still use it as an excuse that they "deserve a better team")

Odd dislikes for Norwich, QPR, Watford, Sheff Yanited, Liverpool, Everton

Liverpool........don't really know why but I cringe at their name alone and have despised them as far back as my memory goes. Far too many obnoxious supporters of the club over here too. That's enough about them

I'm not local so the regional rivalries never really bothered me.

As a matter of principle I strongly disapprove of MK Dons.  Having said that, if they changed their name to simply Milton Keynes I'd be alright with them. "MK Dons" just sounds daft, and it's a lingering tribute to one of the worst acts in club football.

I've always hated clubs fans rather than clubs, based purely on their behaviour back in the 80s when the only time you had any contact with opposition supporters was at matches. I became a City fan at 12 so I didn't grow up with a hatred of Forest and quite admired the Cloughie European Cup winning teams but as time has gone on and they've never shut up about them or realised that it's history, they're not a big club, they're in a mess, going nowhere for years to come whilst telling us we're irrelevant as we sailed on and surpassed them and Derby, even after administration and years of suffering and recovery (just showing how incredibly crap Forest were/are) I've developed a still growing dislike for them.

Watford though are the club I dislike the most, shame really as they used to be my favourite away day. I don't like the way their owners are allowed to own more than one club, I don't like the way they abused the loan system, transferring players between their owned clubs and I really didn't like the unwarranted arrogance from their fans with their invasions of this forum, that from fans of a club who's best achievement was FA cup runners up 30 years ago but Deeney day has to be the worst, most tinpot celebration of nothing since the beginning of time, all adding up to a rising hatred of them.

Oh and I hate United too,

I forgot all about them, thanks for rekindling my hatred for that day alone. Agree with what someone else has posted the walk back to the tube just highlighted what an ungracious bunch of winners they were. Vile!!

It's got to be awfully cold living in Arsenal's shadow.

I always find it funny that when Arsenal are shit (according to their fans), they are still always better than spurs.

Forest. Utter wankers

Still think they are european champions and that Cloughy is alive and well and lives at the ground

Liverpool- Their fans live in the past and act as though they have some divine right to silverware despite being well off the pace for a number of seasons (apart from the other year when they let the title slip lol)

Forest- Again their fans live in the past, it's sad and pathetic. We know Derby are their main rivals but I've known plenty of Forest fans to give us serious stick when they beat us but then for the rest of the season they act as though they don't know who we are.

Derby- Just ****** really.

Cov- Again, ******.

Leeds- Scum

Villa- A boring club who haven't achieved anything whilst in the Premier League and the day they are relegated can't come soon enough.
