Foxmeister Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 Peter Taylor's first 9 games in charge W4 D4 L1 is exactly the same as Ranieri's.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 yeah frightening, not as if Ranieri has almost 40 years of experience or anything
hackneyfox Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 Please god not another Peter Taylor/Don Claudio thread.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 Yeah can see your point I'm petrified.
5waller5 Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 Maybe "an interesting thought" would have been a better title .... because that is a pretty good stat .... but not frightening at all!!!
MPH Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 Peter Taylor's first 9 games in charge W4 D4 L1 is exactly the same as Ranieri's. GO AWAY AND NEVER COME BACK!!!!!!!!
Filbert_Ross Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 If I remember rightly despite the results we were crap in them 9 games also.
Corky Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 It's very frightening. Totally unrelated but frightening nonetheless.
whoareyaaa Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 I thought this thread was going to read, we could be joint second after 10 games at 5pm tomorrow.
Sampson Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 The clear difference was that under Taylor we weren't playing particularly well and Tim Flowers was by far and away our best player at the time and pretty much single-handedly keeping us in games and even most Leicester fans at the time knew the bubble was going to burst. Whereas under Ranieri we've been playing superbly well and it feels like we've totally done it by merit and not by a mixture of fluke and having an exceptional goalkeeper. Funnily enough Flowers actually did rightfully win player of the month back then though, he wasn't robbed of it unlike Mahrez and Vardy have been.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 It's friday afternoon, have a bevvy, or wank, or both
Frank to be Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 I remember us being poor despite the results that season but to be fair the results were great right up until the Wycombe game, so we can't have been that bad. Not many similarities between the two eras though. Back then we had been overachieving with a limited squad and a fall from grace seemed inevitable after Lennon left. Now, we're just getting started with a new team with bags of potential and the squad is getting better not worse.
jimmeh Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 It's true though. Everyone getting way ahead of themselves. If we lost our next 3 games somehow then we are right back in trouble. Especially with the run coming up over Christmas
whoareyaaa Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 It's true though. Everyone getting way ahead of themselves. If we lost our next 3 games somehow then we are right back in trouble. Especially with the run coming up over Christmas What about if we win them though? they are winnable its going to take a bottom half team to win 3 on the bounce and us to lose 3 on the bounce before we are in "trobule" which aint gonna happen. The distance is getting bigger every week
jimmeh Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 West brom away never easy and they will want to put things right after defeat to us last season. Watford at home sounds easy but they are extremely good defensively and could frustrate us. Deeney will probably go and score his first prem goal against us too. And obviously palace at home very tough.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 wait what if Claudio is actually Peter Taylor in disguise
jimmeh Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 We could quite easily only get 1 point from these games.
jimmeh Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 I'm going for 1-2 palace. 1-0 West brom. 1-1 Watford. 1 point out of 9
purpleronnie Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 I'm going for 1-2 palace. 1-0 West brom. 1-1 Watford. 1 point out of 9 That's the spirit.
jimmeh Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 That's the spirit. Well you obviously think we will continue with this run all season then? Why not put a bet on us to be in the top 4 then. As that's what will happen if we continue as it is
ScouseFox Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 I'm going for 1-2 palace. 1-0 West brom. 1-1 Watford. 1 point out of 9
