Renart Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Not a real surprise: http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11677/10043103/tim-sherwood-sacked-as-aston-villa-manager-club-confirm
BoyJones Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Gutted. Villa were certs to go down with tactics Tim.
Carl the Llama Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 A terrible day for Premier League football. Villa may yet be in it next year.
Alf Bentley Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 In the notorious manner of Emmanuel Adebayor, I salute this decision. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke more arrogant, clueless, over-rated personification of the word "prat".
bovril Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Awful tactically and dubious man management this season. More interested in the dramatic soundbite, even if it puts pressure on his players.
Alf Bentley Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 That salute, again: Honestly, whatever line of work you're in, can you imagine having any respect for a manager who indulges in such antics? Very David Brent. Fair play to Chris Ramsey, though, as he just seems to be shielding his eyes, trying to work out who Adebayor is.....another prat, Chris, that's who he is. You're surrounded by them.
Captain... Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Nigel Pearson? Rodgers, Moyes, any random foreigner will be ahead of him.
Bayfox Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Rodgers, Moyes, any random foreigner will be ahead of him. Pearson 3rd fave at 9/1.
surrifox Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Dogshit manager. And dogshit club stinking up the Prem for far too long -FOAD villa

merlin1969 Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Anyone think that Nigel Pearson would relish getting another Midlands club job ? he is 10/1 to get this position.
lifted*fox Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 I don't think Pearson could save Villa tbh. He had a connection with the team here - without that, we wouldn't have survived last year on tactics and quality alone. It was the spirit and determination that carried us through and that was built over several years. I don't think he could build that spirit quickly enough with the players he has there to save them from the drop this year. In the long-term though, he'd be a good appointment for them and would definitely do well for them in the Championship. It would break my heart a bit to see Pearson at Villa though.
Carl the Llama Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Posted a tweet in the other thread saying Dwight Yorke wants the job. Would not mind that one bit.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 If Pearson goes to Villa Shakespeare and Walsh will not be far behind which could be catastrophic for us.
NewquayFox Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Rodgers rides in to save the day but they drop into the Championship where they belong after the last couple of seasons.... Up the City......
The Doctor Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Posted a tweet in the other thread saying Dwight Yorke wants the job. Would not mind that one bit. Has he got any managerial experience at all? If not and they give it him, Derbys record might be under threat.
lifted*fox Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 If Pearson goes to Villa Shakespeare and Walsh will not be far behind which could be catastrophic for us. I really don't understand why everyone is so certain this will happen. Shakespeare is clearly still very much involved with everything here - glued to the touchline with Ranieri again yesterday. Maybe they're happy with the job here, with Ranieri, with their contracts and salaries?
