Sherwood Sacked by Villa

Not a chance it'll be Pearson, they'll be looking for someone vastly more proven in the premier league. Pearson's only shot at a PL job was Sunderland, and he wasn't even close to getting that.

If Pearson goes to Villa Shakespeare and Walsh will not be far behind which could be catastrophic for us.

Yep, leave the in form team with a real chance. To follow their mate to possibly the worst side the premier league has seen for a long time.

As if.

Rodgers, Moyes, any random foreigner will be ahead of him.

but would they take it?

Rodgers rides in to save the day but they drop into the Championship where they belong after the last couple of seasons....

Up the City......

With Trigger (and his new broom head?)...

I doubt very much whether villa or any other premiership team would touch pearson with a barge pole. Tactically crap and a PR nightmare.

Bloody Hell! All the bollox Sherwood has been spouting as the big I AM, to be sacked so soon...

lol lol lol lol

I'm expecting Brendan Rogers to go there?

Rodgers

Villa after pool? Big drop but then he aint getting a top 5 team outside of a Tottenham type club. I say he is favourite unless its "too soon" for him.

I think its really between him and moyes

Posted a tweet in the other thread saying Dwight Yorke wants the job.  Would not mind that one bit.

That would be truely amazing, now it's not like me to write people off before they've got chance to prove otherwise :unsure:lol but that would arguably be more car crash than with Sherwood in charge.

Nothing incorrect with that statement.

Apart from most of it

Remi Garde as short as 1/5 with some bookmakers, Pearson basically nowhere in the markets.

Yup of course, so the man who has a practical melt down every time he faces a tough question in the press and makes a fool of himself and the fact his woeful tactical decisions nearly cost us relegation last season.

1) the meltdown is a vast exaggeration; considering he handled most press conferences well and the ones where he did not are very notable

2) his tactical decisions ultimately worked out if you count the whole of the season.

Pearson had his moments, but don't make him sound totally incompetent.

don't see why moyes or Rodgers would take a team that is going down to the championship.

To be fair he said something on MoD yesterday that made me think the writing was on the wall.

The interviewer said something like, your on a bit of a hole aren't you?

He replied, I'm not in a hole it's the football club that's in a hole and has been for a long time!

(Or something along those line).

It just sounded odd and a little arrogant.

I'm genuinely gutted.

Could happily watch him in floods of tears during his post match interview following a defeat for ever.
