Dickov22 Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Vardy and Mahrez barely got a kick with Mahrez in the number 10 role. Didn't work at all
Guest Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Vardy and Mahrez barely got a kick with Mahrez in the number 10 role. Didn't work at all Better there than unable to cover Simpson.
Guest Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Really don't understand why we still pump so many balls in the air up to the front. Yeah Vardy can head a ball but that's not his game. We should be playing everything along the floor and into space.
Ric Flair Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Vardy and Mahrez barely got a kick with Mahrez in the number 10 role. Didn't work at all What about 2nd half against Southampton or 2nd half against Villa? It works better away from home and if Mahrez is struggling then play Dyer in behind and put Mahrez out wide.

Dickov22 Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Better there than unable to cover Simpson. It's not his job to defend. It's his job to create moments of magic which he does most games. If I'm a WBA full back I'd rather face Albrighton than Mahrez who drops his shoulder , goes left goes right etc. It's such an English football mentality to suggest we can't have a flair player who just solely concentrates on attacking. I don't even think he's lazy in defending anyway. It's a myth
The Estonian Fox Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Does anybody have 1 spare ticket for this one? I'm willing to drive (4 spaces), and give you a drink on top of the ticket face value !! Desperate to get there !! PM me, text or call on
vandamman Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Think we've got to be careful not to overestimate WBA. Their hardly world beaters at home or for that matter away. If we play positively, we can get a win at the Hawthorns.
suffolk fox Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Albrighton shouldn't be anywhere near the starting XI on current form. He's played most of the minutes in the last 10 games and contributed 0 goals and 0 assists. He's totally out of form. Give it a rest. Gave Bertrand a torrid time at Southampton away all game hit the post against Palace last week honestly you do talk some shite.
adam95581 Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Schmeichel Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Kante Drinkwater Dyer Mahrez Schlupp Vardy Subs: Schwarzer, De Laet, Benalouane, King, Albrighton, Ulloa, Okazaki That's a scary front 4.

He's played most of the minutes in the last 10 games and contributed 0 goals and 0 assists. He's totally out of form. Harsh. Just because he's not directly played a part in a goal doesn't make him out of form. He does so much for the team and personally think he's been playing well. I'd keep the same XI as last week, maybe with Ulloa for Mahrez if fit. They'll bully us, I fear, at set pieces especially.
BrummieFOX Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Kasper Fuchs Huth Wes Simpson Mahrez Kante Drinksy Dyer Ulloa Vardy
foxfanazer Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Kasper Fuchs Huth Wes Simpson Mahrez Kante Drinksy Dyer Ulloa Vardy This is the one imo. Harsh on Schlupp maybe but he'd be a great sub to bring on if they have tired legs
Bettsj2 Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 I'd be loading up with as much height at the back as we can muster for this one. Fuchs 6ft 1 Was 6ft 1 Huth 6ft 3 Morgan 6ft 2 Benny 6ft 2 As a back 5. Go 4 across the middle with Jeff, Drinky, Kante and Albrighton and play Vards alone through the middle. They'll look to set pieces and loading the box so we need to counter that then look to hit on the break.

Instead of setting up to nullify a very poor WBA side, why not just set up playing to our own strengths surely?
BrummieFOX Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 This is the one imo. Harsh on Schlupp maybe but he'd be a great sub to bring on if they have tired legs Yeh agreed. Would be nice to see us completely believe in our attacking threat and just go at them first and foremost, before worrying about providing cover for our fullbacks.
Captain... Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 I still want to see Richie back, I know it is unlikely as he played 120 minutes against Hull, but I think he offers more than Simpson, he's better in the air, he's faster and he doesn't beat up women. With Albrighton or Dyer in front of him, Fuchs being more solid on the left and Kante the destroyer in the middle, he will not be as exposed as when we had Schlupp attacking down the left, Mahrez in front of him given license to roam and attack and no Kante in the middle to cover the right back and protect the Centre backs. Maybe have to wait until next week though after a tough 120 minutes midweek.
Jimmy Lad Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Yes he did. Who cares about being beaten in the air? Simply play it on the floor! Vardy, slipped through by Dyer and Mahrez can rip their centre backs apart. We need to attack them and not sit back. They'll crack.. They aren't a strong side. We can play it on the floor but unfortunately there's nothing in the rules to stop them going long and high at every opportunity
daddylonglegs Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Our right back options are so average. RDL can't defend and Simpson is bang average all round (and strangles women) Reckon we might have the worst RB options in the league...harsh? Maybe Villa with Hutton is pretty crap as well tbf.
Wymsey Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 3-1 Leicester. King, Mahrez, Dyer. McAuley (bound to) for them.
BrummieFOX Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 We're getting free scarves again at this. Kinds of think Hull would have been more worthy, but still, lovely gesture as ever.

Have you completely forgotten what happened around this time last season when we played shit like that?
BrummieFOX Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Got the old badge on as well..... Yeh they look smart actually.
Fox92 Posted 29 October 2015 Posted 29 October 2015 Please forget about Simpson off the field ffs. Shouldn't come into question when comparing ability. He's better than De Laet and hasn't put a foot wrong since coming in. De Laet spends half the game switched off.
