Phube Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 He interviews Claudio, but there's still not been a player interview from him this year!? Even newly acquired players, is this still an irreparable schism that will continue?
Babylon Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 He interviews Claudio, but there's still not been a player interview from him this year!? Even newly acquired players, is this still an irreparable schism that will continue? I think it's fair to say the players do not like him. You only have to see the comments of Vardy's mrs about him every now and again.
Phube Posted 1 November 2015 Author Posted 1 November 2015 But Kante, Inler, Fuchs etc. weren't part of it. Is this a squad mentality thing? If so are they pressurised into it from the old guard, or it just downtown come up? I'm confused?
foxfanazer Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 With the amount of media coverage we are getting nowadays I wouldn't say it really matters. I can imagine him to be one of those blokes who's over the top pally to your face but a bit of a snake
Fox92 Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Just proves it wasn't actually Pearson then. The players don't talk to him even when there has been a change of management.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 The players made their decision first and then Pearson followed suit last season, it wasn't the other way around. IS had a meeting with several senior players before the start of the season so all could air their opinions. The players didn't change their minds. It's a shame, it really is, but RL brought a number of problems on themselves IMHO.
Donut Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 But Ranieri has no problem with him? Dont get it personally.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Maybe he did something worse than the cutthroat gesture to Nugent that we're not aware of. Not really that bothered, not keen on the bloke.
Soar Fox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 The bloke is obviously a d!ckhead hence the tweets that Vardy's Mrs wrote about him. Not bothered that the players don't talk to him there's various other places that you can see player interviews. I still laugh about how stringer fell for the knockaert phone call in the summer.
EnglishOxide Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 But Kante, Inler, Fuchs etc. weren't part of it. Is this a squad mentality thing? If so are they pressurised into it from the old guard, or it just downtown come up? I'm confused? They probably explained the situation to the new lads and asked them to follow suit.
chicagofox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 But Ranieri has no problem with him? Dont get it personally. Maybe he does maybe he doesn't. But unlike Pearson he is professional enough to know that in talking to Stringer he is really talking to the fans and the local media should have a working relationship with the manager of Leicester City.

Fvcking yawn. Running out of opportunities to slate NP so knew you'd show up in here.
m4DD0gg Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Fvcking yawn. Running out of opportunities to slate NP so knew you'd show up in here. He is right though, you ever had to do something you did not want to or deal with some one you did not want to but done so anyway? CR strikes me as the sort of bloke who gets on with everyone......life's to short and i am fairly sure NP's exceptionally poor media skills played a large factor in his own downfall.

I love Pearson but have to say I agree with the above.
Thracian Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Agree with chicagofox. Talking to Stringer is just another of the many ways Ranieri shows his class as a manager. The job isn't just about picking a team it's about 1000 other things including fronting the club and dealing professionally with the media...whether you like a particular individual or not.

I'd like a meeting with IS as well to air my concerns about broadcasting subjects and content - who do I speak to at the club?
Guest MattP Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 It's easy for Ranieri at the minute to get along with Stringer, everything is going well. Let's see how affable he is when Stringer is asking if he is going to be sacked week after week if we go on a bad run.
Nod.E Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Maybe he did something worse than the cutthroat gesture to Nugent that we're not aware of. Not really that bothered, not keen on the bloke. What happened with Nuge?

Pearson also spoke to Stringer you know, there is only so many times someone is a total bellend before you react though. Lets see where we are when we go on a bad run and he's shit stirring again. Or slating the manager for not jumping up and down when he's actually done his back in, when he's doing cut throat gestures after another loss and whipping up the radio Leicester morons.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 They can still use player interviews from 5 Live, MOTD, East Mids TV etc as they're all BBC
ian_marshall Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Cringeworthy that the smug **** has to stoop so low as to get his boss to publicly back him on radio.
Jimmy Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 still don't get why someone at RL doesn't take the production decision to send Jason Bourne or even Matt Elliott to do the interviews, why does it HAVE to be Stringer
Wymsey Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 This issue with Stringer has been going on for years; the situation, and him ironically, is getting boring and cringe-worthy. Should do a 'Is Stringer a good commentator/reporter?' poll. Wouldn't be surprised if most said he isn't, and he opens his account on here and have a go at some. Haven't heard much about Young since he was sacked/left.

And let's not forget saying 'He's going to get sacked and I don't care that he's in the same room as me' live on air whilst Pearson was in earshot doing another interview. Total ****.
