The Year Of The Fox Posted 16 November 2015 Posted 16 November 2015 It's a joke IMO. The DM reported- quoted from the BBC before anyone dismisses it- that there are approximately 500 people in our country who've travelled to Syria and have since travelled back. There are also about 2000 people who the security services fear/are known to have undergone radicalisation. Why are we not acting proactively on this? If they are British by nationality they should be rounded up and stuck in an offshore prison somewhere (specifically built if required) Folk travelling to Syria haven't gone there for a knees up. The public aren't going to accept any excuses from our security services after an atrocity on our streets along the lines of "we knew about him but he'd shown no signs of extremism that concerned us" (or words along those lines) Similarly why have France today only been and raided all these suspects houses (Lyon) and other areas We've really got to start tightening up because they are succeeding in striking fear into our minds now. I'm seeing people on my Facebook not wanting to go to the football tomorrow, or the German markets etc. To be honest, I'm all of a sudden looking forward to France 16 quite a bit less than I was too.

The problem is the fact of British law, and its ability to prosecute those that have travelled to Syria, I don't think there is a law for treason by these means. The situation of rehabilitation is also in British minds. The fact is the government doesn't want to piss of Muslims in fear of losing there votes and possibly falear of this notion of isolating them further. Personally I think its mad, anyone who does not have allegiance to Britain, can foook of.

Maybe the public after this weekend would welcome the transition. And yeh I agree, if that offends anyone of any religion or nationality then they're welcome to fcuk off. There are laws for a reason but there are also ways and means of fast tracking new laws particularly in situations as we find ourselves in now.

What ways are there to fastrack the Human Rights Act 1998 without another Act of Parliament?

Guest MattP Posted 16 November 2015 Posted 16 November 2015 Some Bosnia fans actually shouting "Allah Akbar" during the minute's silence. Where do you start with that? Imagine even having the gall to do it for a start.

Imagine even having the gall to do it for a start. Well, they're 1-0 down at the moment. So, if they end up losing, maybe they'll engage in some self-criticism and take it as a message from Allah to show more respect in future?

Their comments on religion always make Western Europeans wince, it's hilarious to watch.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 16 November 2015 Posted 16 November 2015 This is a long article which may interest those that won't mind reading it all. Interesting nevertheless - lets just send a Roman army on horseback and have done with it.

MC Prussian Posted 16 November 2015 Posted 16 November 2015 And dropping conventional bombs won't. Oh, definitely. They quite efficiently eradicate all targeted infrastructure, and also affect nature (both flora and fauna) and human beings (collateral damage). What else isn't there to like or even love about conventional warfare? It creates jobs and generates massive amounts of money. Way forward.
MC Prussian Posted 16 November 2015 Posted 16 November 2015 Sarajevo is basically an Islamic city in Europe ! Sharia law observed by many ! Imagine - Albania is essentially an Islamic country within Europe! And look at all those Albanian terrorists!
