Sky News; 10 French planes drop 20 bombs on IS targets in Syrian city of Raqqa, reportedly hitting jihadi recruitment centre.

If they knew all this why didn't they do it last week ??

Until america sorts is vile relationship with Saudi Arabia there will be no peace in the region !

NATO cannot fight a war on ground against ISIS because the sight of Sunni civilians being wiped out will destabilise Saudi and Qatar

The only solution is a Middle East led response to ISIS but as the are following wahibist beliefs there is little or no chance of Saudi going to war agains Sunni brothers at this stage

If Isis turns its eyes towards taking the two holy mosques then Saudi Arabia will squash them with one huge swat !

No shit sherlock.

If it's the picture of inside the Bataclan then yeah I can understand the reason for deleting it. Truely horrific scenes.

Picture taken inside the Bataclan from one of the balconies. The floor was covered in blood and about 20 bodies.

Without repeating what has possibly already been asked, if at last the Jihadi training camps and recruitment areas have finally been targeted/wiped out, why was this not done the very second intelligence had confirmation of this?

Maybe they could gather more intelligence seeing who comes and goes from these places? Apparently they were following Jihadi John for a while before they took him out. They probably got a lot more information watching him going about his daily business for a while, the places he goes and the people he sees.. etc.

I also think these strikes have to be cleared at many levels, the Paris attacks probably sped up the process...

Yeah that's a very good point, I didn't really think of the longer term benefits of following and gaining more Intel etc.

So they rekon mi6 planted a bug on his car which got bombed, if true? It amazes me how good intelligence is! How the hell did mi6 even get close to him!

and yet, no knowledge of an impending attack on one of the worlds biggest cities, involving dozens of terrorists.

That's not as surprising as you're trying to make out. Any old jihadi could be disillusioned enough to shop johns location to mi6. Planning atrocities though would be carried out at the highest level

Say the Paris attackers only talked to each other in person and bought all the equipment they needed in person, how do you know? You could monitor more people more closely but that's not easy or cheap.

Why do all these journalists have to stand in the streets of Paris to do the news. I've lost count of the number from Sky and BBC. Then yesterday a little scare for Burley and her buddies and they are screaming and hiding and crying. Just go back to England and report from there. You are ghoulish. Same with the onlookers who pretend they are giving reverence to the dead whilst walking the death scenes only to run all over the memorials left when the firecrackers went off.

Raids here in France. Grenoble and Lyon are relative hotbeds - rocket launcher found in Lyon! Apparently some of the bombers were stopped near the Belgium border before being allowed to continue their journey.

France bomb Syria.

Hollande said they'd go for it, something about a War, but I didn't think it'd be so quick after the Paris attacks.

Has to be before the media cruify him when the 3 day mourning is over.

According to a lot of the press agencies this is not true tho, iraqi intelligence that was passed on says they knew about it and others planned for europe.

I suppose the problem is, who's intelligence do you trust, what do you do with the information.

As for the air strikes, I guess it is a lot easier to justify air strikes once you have had a major attack on your soil. I know that sounds terrible, but if they had lunched strikes on IS last week and just said it was off the back of intelligence, the red cross etc come out saying we have just killed innocent civilians. This war needs to be won in the minds as well as on the ground, these guys have no boundaries.

They are willing to die because they have a very twisted view of some words written in a book.
