davieG Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 Leicester City have taken talented schoolboy Mikael Ugland on trial after spotting him playing for Norway's Under-15 side. The young midfielder is currently with Norwegian top-flight club IK Start who have given permission for him to train with the Foxes this week. Ugland, 15, has been with the club since the age of four and has represented their Under-16 side while also training with their second team that competes in the Norwegian third division. "Mikael is very strong mentally, good one on one, both offensively and defensively. He is also a tremendously good player in transition and that is one thing that both ourselves and the national team are looking for," said Start reserve team boss Oyvind Dalseth. Leicester contacted Ugland to offer him the trial after being impressed by him in a recent Norway Under-15 international. "We travel on Tuesday morning, and will be there until Sunday. It gets really exciting. What benefit does his club get from letting him go on trial with us? Other than possible ££££££££££ I can't see much benefit really.
