aefevans Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Hi all, Just want to say a big well done to your lot for being top at Christmas. Not bad for a bunch of relegation certs, eh? There's a certain level of 'status quo' within the Premier League, so I think it's great that other teams can be competitive. Keep up the good work and see you in Europe next season. PS - If anyone's not yet read Stan Collymore's article about established Premier League clubs, do so. It makes for a hilarious read. http://betting.boylesports.com/football/bournemouth-v-watford-doesnt-cut-it-for-premier-league
kingcarr21 Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 I think a big well done also needs to go to Watford. If Leicester weren't smashing it up then Watford would be the talk of the prem. Deeney and Ighalo have been brilliant for you.
Bayfox Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Fair play to watford, I thought you may struggle but have been really impressed so far. As for that collymore article. No idea what he is banging on about, just goes round in circles, waste of a few mins of my life reading that, he makes no real points.
SecretPro Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 A draw tonight and it will be a very merry christmas.
WesMorganGod Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 thanks very much, and Watford have done fantastic this season. you gave us a very hard game at KP
filbertway Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Would rather have Deeney, if we sign Ighalo we can only realistically play one of him and Vardy unless we try and change our game. Both play on the shoulder of the last man.
STUHILL Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Strongly disliked Watford for their post play-off antics but over that now and great to see us both upsetting the odds. Was watching sky sports today and they were saying how Watford should be targeting top 4 finish. Could you imagine if Leicester AND Watford finished in the top 4......
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Thanks for your post. Overall so far it's been a great season for Leicester and Watford. Both sides have very good players. I've been so impressed by Ighalo, him and Deeney seem to form a fantastic partnership together. But not only them two, all over the field Watford seem to be a good team in both attacking and defensive terms. As for us it's been a dream. It's been a pretty much perfect start to the campaign and hopefully it continues so we can make the Champions League or Europe. I said before the start of the season I'd be very satisfied with comfortable survival and I predicted we'd finish 13th but what is happening to us at the moment is absolutely amazing. I've also noticed the efforts of your supporter group is it the 1881 movement? (Correct me if I'm wrong on that) but they seem to be improving the atmosphere for you at home games with all the flags etc. Fair play and there is quite a few clubs now in the Premier League, Leicester included that have supporter groups which are helping the atmospheres for the better.
fox766 Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 The two most entertaining teams to watch in the league and all both teams do is play 4-4-2 and fast counter attacking football instead of that 4-2-3-1 and pass it shite. Possession is nothing if you do fùck all with it
CharlieCharles Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Was on about Watford the other day and the lack of media coverage they have had despite doing extremely well. Not a massive fan for obvious reasons but hope you do as well as possible. Makes a change smaller clubs like Watford and us leading the way.
Guy Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Watford did finish second in the old first division under Graham Taylor spell one though, lest we forget....higher than we've ever managed. It would be truly great if we finished first and they repeated their 1983 feat in the process when they were runners up behind L......iverpool - 33 years on!!

Hollism Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 I honestly thought pre-season that us and Watford would be 19th and 20th, respectively. I know this season has been mental but I think I got it really bad Congratulations to you on your great season so far
kylestyle06 Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 What's with the Watford love in all of a sudden shame they're not getting relegated TBH
Carl the Llama Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Yeah I was way off about Watford, thought they'd be a bit of a QPR and finish 20th but I'm pleased to see them taking the league by the scruff of the neck. I hope this new breed of positive football that teams like the two of us and Crystal Palace play is here to stay. Along with the continental leagues hitting peak stagnation and somehow still going this is the first time in ages where the PL actually feels like the best league in the world and I'm 60% sure I'm not only saying that because it's us leading, long may it continue.
Thracian Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Would rather have Deeney, if we sign Ighalo we can only realistically play one of him and Vardy unless we try and change our game. Both play on the shoulder of the last man. Don't worry too much - all defenders have two shoulders. They can play off one each!

aefevans Posted 22 December 2015 Author Posted 22 December 2015 What's with the Watford love in all of a sudden shame they're not getting relegated TBH I'd like to think that, over the course of this season, we've developed somewhat of a mutual respect, mainly due to sticking it to the establishment. It's nice that the league can be competitive (and the more butthurt from the media/bigger clubs, the better). Very much looking forward to how the season turns out. I have a lot of hope we can continue to make an impact.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Hadn't actually realised Watford won 6 out their last 8 games - that's incredible form for your first season back. I'd be absolutely made up if we somehow both finished top 4 at the expense of "big" teams
ScouseFox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 quite like watford's players an their manager but their fans can all get ta fu ck they had an actual tifo and big banner that said "here's to you pozzo family watford loves you more than you will know" at the weekend. get in the bin.
