foxes21 Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 I'll say it again. If Vardy is out Okazaki should replace him up front - that is his natural position and he'll put in as much effort as Vardy with nearly as much speed - Kramaric should then play the Okazaki role, that is his natural position too, just off the attacker. I agree, but Shinji looked knackered though on Saturday. Maybe Claudio took him off with this game in mind??
Benguin Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 -----------------Kasper--------------------- ---Simpson-----Huth---------Morgan--------Fuchs----- -------------Kante---------Inler-------------------- ---Mahrez----------------------------Albrighton- --------------------Kramaric----------------------- ---------------------Okazaki----------------------- Buzzing for this game, first game I'm attending since Palace in October thanks to choosing to study in blooming Scotland! I think it's going to be a very difficult match and with Vardy and Drinkwater likely to be out I can see our attacking threat taking a hit. That said I have every faith in our fringe players and a fixture like Man City will have Krammy chomping at the bit to have a worldy performance. 1-1 Krammy for us and Bony or Aguero for them
Oxfordfox83 Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Ranieri knows what he's doing. 3-0 and top of the league for new year...

Micky Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Sky reporting that vardy is fit. Drinkwater back in training. Back to full strength. Let's **** this lot over.
foxes21 Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Sky reporting that vardy is fit. Drinkwater back in training. Back to full strength. Let's **** this lot over. Fingers crossed!!! Should we risk Drinkwater though if he's only just returned to training?
The Guvnor Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Sky reporting that vardy is fit. Drinkwater back in training. Back to full strength. Let's **** this lot over. I think Vardy would still want to play with his leg in a cast, but a 75% fit Vardy is better than most prem strikers so great news to hear about two important players.
weller54 Posted 28 December 2015 Author Posted 28 December 2015 Hope vardy is rested, or starts on the bench...
st albans fox Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 i can report a hamstring strain courtesy of reaching too low into the wash basket without warming up first. hopefully i will make it up the steps to my seat tomorrow evening but i may need a fitness test first.

JV needs to be 90%+ fit at least. as soon as the opposition back 5 realise he isnt at it, they will lose their fear and stop panicking over every ball in behind.
lcfcsnow Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Isn't Tom Lawrence back? Might be useful on the bench, gives a different option for the wings or in the Number 10 role, looked very good against Holland for Wales recently. He isn't even starting games for a poor Blackburn side.
Ashley Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 He isn't even starting games for a poor Blackburn side. Yes he was?? They've been raving about him
lcfcsnow Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Been a sub for the last 3 matches, didn't even get on in one of them.
fuchsntf Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 He isn't even starting games for a poor Blackburn side. Yes he was?? They've been raving about him I have not been following his Blackburn loan period for the last month, but why in todays world do we get contradicting Posts..?? !! Just being, stroppy and facetious.
Guest Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 We are 16/5 to win at home tomorrow. That's wrong whoever we're playing.
Guest Col city fan Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Ranieri will know the problem with testing Vardy..its simple..where are the goals going to come from AND we'll have to alter our style of play which has led to fantastic results. That said, he's knackered I suspect and needs a game or two to rest.

Tough luck, but don't be a Sturridge, we expect better, now get up those steps!

If Vardy is ever out we have zero pace up front, and that makes scoring goals much more difficult. The alternatives are being a great slick passing side which can also keep a high % of the possession, or adopt a lump it up into the air West Brom style and hope it falls to one of your own players. Pretty sure we can't do either of those styles at the the moment. We absolutely must buy a quick striker this January to fill the gaps....almost regardless of the fee, if we have top four ambitions. I would be disappointed, given the potential opportunity we have to 'get our foot in the top 4 / 6 door' if no efforts were made in this respect. Getting back to the Man City thread here...I would be pleased with a draw, considering the players looked completely drained and out of sorts at Anfield.
Benguin Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Some tickets have become available for this online if anyone is looking for some
foxes21 Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 I think Okakazi is good enough back up to play the Vardy role tbh. He's used to playing on the shoulder for Mainz.
