jammie82uk Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Stat time Leicester City lost both of their league meetings with Man City last season, but they've not lost three successive league games against the Citizens since August 1961. Manchester City are unbeaten in their last five league away trips to Leicester City (W3 D2). Leicester City ended 2012, 2013 and 2014 with a victory in their final league game of the calendar year. Manchester City have not suffered a defeat in their final league game of a calendar year since a 1-4 home loss to Charlton Athletic in December 2000. Leicester City have scored in each of their last 14 Premier League home games. The Foxes have won 10 of their last 14 Premier League matches at the King Power Stadium (W10 D2 L2). Manchester City are on a five game winless run away from home in the Premier League (D2 L3); their worst away run in the competition since April 2011 (six away games without a win). The Citizens have scored just one goal in their last four Premier League away games. Wilfried Bony has scored in four of his last six appearances for Man City in all competitions. Kevin De Bruyne has had a hand in 20 goals (10 goals, 10 assists) in 23 competitive appearances for Manchester City.
orangecity23 Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 His last game with Blackburn is January 2nd. Nuts. Ah well, at least he'll be back for the cup game then.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 My 11 (If Vardy is out as is being reported) Kasper Simpson Was Wes Fuchs Riyad Kante Drinky Dyer Oka Kramaric Just think give Albrighton a rest, think we'll have a better foot hold on the game with Drinkwater back so the need to hoof it up won't be as necessary. Also think Was performed very well against Everton and is faster than Huth, to cope better with their pace covering out wide. I wouldn't be livid if he started Huth, been part of a great partnership and hasn't done a lot wrong bar the odd daft yellow, just think Was will be better suited to this game. Also if Vardy is out (obviously start him over Krama if he is fit) just think give this lad a chance, Ulloa has been ok but isn't lighting any fires, if Krama is terrible then take him off at half time for Ulloa but I just wanna see him given a chance from the start given the commitment of him that's clearly there.

Just seeing that line up without Vardy fills me with dread. Just makes me realise how reliant on him we've been for goals this season...
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 You could go 4-4-2 and replace Oka with Ulloa. I think with Riyad firing, Drinky and Kante in the middle and the confidence of the defense we can get away without Vardy for a game or 3. Would much rather not have him now for a few games than play him when he shouldn't be as such being very ineffective or worse yet pick up a worse injury because of the numerous knocks he's apparently carrying.
Harry - LCFC Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Not keen on playing both Ulloa and Okazaki. Don't really have a reason why, just don't feel comfortable with the idea of it.
enmac Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 My first impression of the game v Liverpool is that we looked physically/ mentally knackered. Are we reallistically going to finish above Man C? Right now I would take 2/3 rd place. Therefore I suggest the same team that beat whu in the league cup. Less chance of winning, but if we did it would send a big message to the rest of the league. If we lose- at least we are rested. Tortoise and hare? ck
waylander Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Be happy with a draw could sneak a win . Bournemouth underestimated at Arsenals peril draw or win for burne happy days
Tuna Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Think we'll lose this and struggle against Bournemouth and Spurs.
Rushden fox Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Think we'll lose this and struggle against Bournemouth and Spurs. A better way to put it is that we need some new blood in come January. We are a fab team who need a bit more help
dylanlegend Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Reading the Man City forum many think they'll lose and they are cr*p away. There for the taking!? We need to go into this game thinking we can win and play as we know we can. Attack attack attack
Devonfox1884 Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Dyer Inler (Drinky if fit) Kante Mahrez (Schlupp if he wasn't injured) Kramaric Ulloa Vardy to come on and terrorise them in the last 20-25. He needs a rest, he's beggining to look dead on his feet around the 65-70 minute mark in most games, and that will only deteriorate if he keeps playing full games. In truth, the cup match vs Spurs can't come soon enough as that will give players like Vards, Riyad, Kante, and Wes a chance to have a much-needed rest.
Guest Col city fan Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 This game could define our season I reckon. Win, and we prove to everyone that we're serious top 4 contenders. Lose, and I fear it may dent our confidence on top of the loss at Liverpool. We could go either way after this and I really hope its onwards and upwards. I just wonder if we've peaked and will run out of stamina. It's a marathon not a sprint and all that. I dunno, I'm really excited and nervous at the same time about this one. If the stars really are aligned for us this year, we'll win and go on to glory. I'm pissed so I'll stop now. I fvckin love you Leicester... lol...bloody pisshead!Gotta agree though mate..this ones on a knife edge.
Itay_Dahan Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Let's be optimistic, we are on the top of the league, we can win!Go Foxes!
Mainlander Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Be interesting to see posts tomorrow after everyone else has played. Will we still be top or playing catch up?
stix Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 My 11 (If Vardy is out as is being reported) Kasper Simpson Was Wes Fuchs Riyad Kante Drinky Dyer Oka Kramaric Pearson played Kramaric up front on his own a few times last season, he was terrible. I agree that he should replace Vardy if he's injured but in a 2 or behind Ulloa. I think we should stick to 4-4-2, Liverpool changed their formation to match us on Saturday and it worked for them. I don't think Man City will change to match us which could work in our favour.

Bayfox Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Reading this and the other threads on vardy and drinkwater. Would be rather risk those 2 or leave them out risk getting beaten but leaving those players with almost another weeks rest before Bournemouth.
foxinsox Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Kasper Simpson Was Morgan Fuchs Mahrez Kante Inler Albrighton Kramaric Ulloa Time for Vardy to have rest on the bench, Dyer can come on second half, King on second half for Inler too. Shinji and Benny for emergencies. Kramaric is best behind another player, he plays too deep for an out and out striker.
jaqo88 Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 I wouldn't risk Vards or Drinky unless they are 100%. I think that Inler/Kramaric deserve a chance in their absence and could step up as we need them to.
foxfanazer Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Glad people are seeing sense in not wanting to risk Vardy. Give Kramaric a chance
foxinsox Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Kramaric and Inler deserve a start. If tbey cannot get one with Vardy poorly and DD out then when are we going to use them? Both are keen to prove themselves too. Arguably Benny at the back too, but Was ahead of him for me. Kramaric and Inler deserve a start. RowlattsFox Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Id be tempted to put Inler in, but it's a tough game to come into and make a positive impact. But Inler is closer to drinkwater in style than King. Would give dyer a start instead of Albrighton too. Freshen up a little, Albrighton has done well but he is too predictable playing in the left.
