Knee Jerk ridiculous reactions.... Please post here

We were shit today. Why do people get so offended by the truth? No-one's saying it's been anything other than a fantastic season so far. I just get absolutely fed up of this "you can't ever say anything bad" superiority some fans seem to have.

It's not a case of getting offended by the truth it's a case of the line between the truth and exaggeration becoming very blurred in the post match thread and a number of people (maybe not yourself) lacking perspective.

I personally thought we were much worse at Bournemouth away, at least we created gilt-edged chances today. We've had tough games recently where we've had to mentally concentrate so hard and put in a lot of miles defensively. It's caught up with us a tad.

It was just a game where we weren't as clinical as usual. Apart from two chances in the first half Bournemouth barely threatened us and Kasper had nothing to do!

As I've said elsewhere we don't need players purely because of this result. We needed them anyway.

I've got annoyed with some melt on the 0 - 0 thread whose moaning about todays result. They should try going down the Cit - eh when David Pleat is in charge!

We've clearly set different standards to that shit all season but today we threw two points away and Dyer's contribution was more than I could stomach.

Mahrez definitely had a 'bad hair' day today. Not the usual slick, gelled precision we've become accustomed to. It looked all over the place and out of control - a bit like his passing game

Heard some bloke say to his mate walking away from the ground "I don't think we will win again this season and Vardy is shit" - say ****ing what

Constructive criticism doesn't hurt anyone but that's just it if it is constructive?

Knee jerk reactions and some stupid ridiculous comments certainly don't help though. Vardy should have scored again he hit the post from six yards we missed a penalty and should have had a second. Kasper didn't have a shot to save so no Bournemouth were not the better team. Eddie Howe you should go to specsavers if you think your team was. It was also a stonewall penalty on Vardy you can't tackle anyone from behind anymore even if you think you got the ball.

Players did look tired today and we didn't play with our usual zip. Maybe they did go out on the hit and miss on New Years Eve.

Comfort to know we are safe on 40 points. And we have premier league football to look forward to next season.

I'll tell you about perspective. When you're top of the table and have the chance to take three points like an offering on a plate then you take them. If you don't you win nothing. Every point counts and every collectable point squandered is an own goal.

I'm going to take advantage of this and then stop posting.....

We have become one-trick ponies and very one-dimensional. We have no plan B or clue how to break teams that defend deep down.

We have recently abandoned our vibrant fast-paced attacking and one-touch passing for hoofball with pace

This is a problem now that we are near the top of the league. Teams have figured us out and I don't trust Ranieri to instill some guile into our passing game

Well I think Vardy was terrific. Quality centre-forwards miss chances every week. But Vardy bust a gut to make them or get on the end of them or put a ball in for someone else or win a penalty. Brilliant. Okay I wish he'd taken the penalty and always would but Vardy was in where it hurts as he always in and fair play for another wholehearted effort.

You sure they weren't talking about Dyer?

And when you've taken 39 points from 19 games in the premier league and sit joint top with a squad mainly compiled of players that were sitting rock bottom at the same point last year you kind of expect there to come a point when the team slips up. Today happened to be that day.

Yes it was a great opportunity and yes it was frustrating. However, a lot of these players have been playing above themselves this season and our two main goal threats had an off day. These two need a little more help, as do the rest of the squad.

Bournemouth are no mugs, they beat Chelsea and Manchester United recently you know.

That enough perspective for you??

Someone else said we were hoofing too much instead of passing and moving. But you shouldn't be critical. There was even a banner about it. Can't you read!

I'm not panicking. We are still second at the end of the day. But we played shit today and basically threw away 2 points through lazy finishing. Why shouldn't that be criticized? Incase we offend FT opinion police?

Your avatar says it all really. Get over it he has gone. We are second in the premier league playing bloody good football. We have not spent fortunes like Man Utd, Spurs, Arsenal, Man City. Ranieri is tactically astute gets it right more times than he gets it wrong. One would suggest you go and support the team Mr Pearson manages next perhaps you would then be happy.

Again.

There's a line between criticism and pure idiocy.

This has been crossed many times.

There is plenty of good criticism but also plenty of stupid remarks. I guess it's up to each one of us as to how we interpret it but comments such as "woeful", "shit", "worst performance of the season", "the wheels are falling off", "two man team" etc... are a bit ridiculous in my eyes. Especially the latter given how pissed off people have got with other teams and pundits calling us a two man team.

I can live with losing away to Liverpool and not scoring against Man City, but to draw a blank against 10-man Bournemouth including a missed peno and getting outplayed during the first half, why does that not warrant criticism?

I'm all for Ranieri deflecting this is a "shit happens, let's all have champagne for reaching 40 points"-game, but it's pretty clear we missed a trick here.

Ulloa was woeful, Okazaki was anonymous, the less said about Dyer the better. Albrighton is seriously off the boil and it's now confirmed that if Mahrez or Vardy don't provide some magic, we don't look like scoring. Worse still, we were seriously lagging behind Bournemouth for the first 45 minutes and have some woeful finishing to thank for not being behind by a goal or two at the break.

After the red card, did all he could with what was on the bench, but the subs did not deliver bar maybe De Laet. We could've played for another hour and Bournemouth still wouldn't have conceded.

At least we came out flying in the second half and with the helping hand of the ref we dominated as a result of the red card. Goals will surely come if we keep getting chances, but we've seen a worrying trend of teams succesfully stiffling our attack and we seemingly have no answer.
