Master Fox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 And Hossein Kaebi or whatever his name was Just seems like a bad dream now. It's amazing how far we've come.
mozartfox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Wouldn't surprise me if Arsenal start sniffing after him now our scout has joined them. He's the type of player that would be perfect for them. Blimey for one minute there I thought the Grim Reaper had signed up for FT.

FoxinNotts Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 From what I can gather, he plays centre defence for Ghana and predominantly defensive midfielder for Copenhagen. He has also filled in at right-back at times. His main position is Defensive Midfielder.

hornyhollthefox123 Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Why does it seem to take an eternity for every single deal we do. Because this is more complex. Work permit involved and his agent spoke of bids from other clubs too. Could be any number of factors The Gray deal only took a couple of days!
m4DD0gg Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 14th - 19th so a massive 3 working days. This has been going on since the summer
Babylon Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Why does it seem to take an eternity for every single deal we do. Because we're applying for a work permit and probably waiting on the outcome of that?

Peter Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Well, congrats on signing our best player... Lucky for us, he wasn't our most important one.A couple of things that might be somewhat exciting for the guys who haven't seen him play...:- Saw him in his first couple of training matches when he first came over. You could see the talent instantly. 10 of this guy in your squad would win you the league. ANY league.- His ease is tremendous. Nothing he does looks hard. So much mental capacity, he never looks pressured in any way.- Very comfortable on the ball. Most get stressed playing the central midfield swarmed by defenders. This guy holds his ground like the best of them.- Haven't seen so much upside since Hangeland. And this guy was 6 years younger when we got him, only just turning 21. - Got the screamer down. Obviously missed some as well, but I'd say he makes about 1 in 5. Which by any standard is golden.- However, can get caught off guard a bit on early crosses behind the back 4 when playing in defense - but I'm sure this is because he's been moved around so much. No worries in the long run.- Only slight minus in my book (and some might consider it a strenght): he's too careful in his playing style. Very little aggression. I think he could be a lot better with a bit more killer instinct and a touch of arrogance. More of those 80 yard runs for a penalty, right? Plus, refs won't give him the fouls if the body language is off. Hate it, but those are the standards now.On the fee: The message to the stock exchange read that "the sale would affect the 2016 yearly by 34 million". That's 3½ million pounds. However, there are 4 things left to consider: Firstly, the fee for the replacement (Swedish international Erik Johansson) is likely considered in this. He was brought in immediately, rumored at around 1½ million pounds. Likely making the price for Amartey around 5 million pounds. Second thing, many clubs divide transfer fees to not impact any fiscal year harder than the next (although clubs instantly rich with Sky-money seems less likely to do so). So some money could come next year. Third, money going to Djurgardens - the club he signed from when going to Copenhagen. They have been reported to take 10% of the fee - and that would be considered in the 3,5 million as well. Fourth, any performance-based clauses might jack up the price somewhat during the next year. All in all, my best (somewhat educated) guess is that the price he's been dealt at is around 5,5 million pounds, pending performance. And I'm fairly sure that's quite the bargain to be honest. Like someone said earlier on here, if he'd played for Ajax, he wouldn't have gone anywhere for under 10, maybe even 15.Well, take good care of him... And btw - looking forward to smashing you in the champions league next season.

Wow thanks for this, I also hope that when our players came over on their Xmas party before Christmas that they spent a fair few thousand to help boost the local economy as well We sound like we've got a special player coming to us, fingers crossed. All the best with the rest of the season. Thanks

Hopefully, he can live up to the expectations, blossom at our club and perform at a higher level. As for the Champions League part - we've got to get there first and you better make sure, you do, as well! Still have Aalborg, SønderjyskE and Midtylland breathing down your neck. And if it wasn't hard enough already, you'd also have to get past the two first qualifying stages first. Best of luck!

Guest Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 He seems like a proper decent fella. Absolutely buzzing about him coming here.
MPH Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Why does it seem to take an eternity for every single deal we do. It really doesnt. The difference now is that we have social media and the internet and we are able to be kept up to date on every single stage of a transfer. we will find out weeks in advance that we are interested... so it appears its being dragged out longer. I remember the days when the first we will of heard of a transfer is on the BBC Radio Leicester 6 o'clock news and the back page of the Leicester Mercury.
