Chelsea were considering placing Bamford abroad with clubs in Spain keen to take him. They are also allowing promising young Belgian Charly Musonda Jr to join Real Betis on an initial six-month loan, though the Spanish side would like an 18-month deal.

Leicester have also shown interest in Bamford as they take stock of what options are left open to them. They have pulled out of a deal for Sampdoria's Eder who is talking to Inter Milan and will need to offer a further £2.5million for Ahmed Musa to sign him from CSKA Moscow. Graziano Pelle has been discussed as has Loic Remy.

I had the trim one cryogenically frozen

Derek is lanky but known for his love of chocolate, and his choir like voice

Honestly unless it's someone guaranteed to play in the same style a'la vardy or Okazaki, I'm not interested.

With any big time Charlie type player we risk upsetting a very delicate balance.

We do need a back up for Vardy, but I'm more interested in character than goal scoring record.

It's not even worth worrying about at this point. If any business is to be done it will be done on the final day of the window. Clubs take as long as possible so they can sort out replacements for those they're selling. I'll be surprised if we don't sign a striker. Ranieri hasn't publicly declared his confidence in doing so for a laugh.
