I do like Andre Gray I've got to admit but they'd want silly money for him.

Can't be arsed with Jordan Rhodes. Over-rated.

I've always rated Pelle and I seem to recall we were close to signing him at one stage. Would be a good signing although I thought Southampton were not letting anyone move, unless I have got that wrong.

Is Slimani now out of the question? Plenty of paper talk about him over the past few days, some saying he could be available for as little as 12m. If so we should be going for him, brilliant scoring record this season.

I said earlier in this thread, that there's been no news of us going back in for Slimani, which is very strange, given how hard we chased him in the summer.  I wouldn't be at all surprised if we have looked at him / will look this Window. The £12m price quoted, for a striker of his quality, is a snip.  If I was a betting man, I'd put a bob or two on it (if there are any odds available) !

Andre Gray must be worth a look excellent record everywhere he's been.

Literally read 4 posts up mate.

He can't be registered to three clubs in one season.

I'd be happy with either Remy or Pelle. Both appear to be solid options. I think the other Prem teams would be quite concerned if we bolstered our attack with either of these. Especially considering the standard of purchases which have been made during this window, by other Prem teams.

I wouldn't mind Jonas from Benefica. Yes he's 31 but he can play either as a striker or No.10.

Been capped for Brazil & has scored 18 goals in his last 17 games & 39 goals in 48 games for Benefica in total.

I'm going to get flamed for this I'm sure, however I'm not convinced we will sign a striker before the window closes. I trust the scouting team to find talent but our current form dictates a different type and cost of player and I'm not sure we have the experience or kudos to attract that just yet.

Just a view, I really, really hope I am wrong.
