Whilst you are correct, with that attitude you would end up with a squad of Townsends, Couches etc etc and no Mahrez,'s and Kantes. It's very limiting to only focus on those already here.

True. I was specifically talking about this instance. Wouldn't want a policy of only having Prem experience players.

It's almost not worth speculating anymore, as all known candidates outside of Musa seem to be non-options now.

We might as well just kick back on our collective arses and wait this one out.

Do you think we are just going to drop out on one of the them if we lock up the other striker, or the owners just really want to go after the title/champions league because it is in reach?

I hope this! If we do make it to CL/win the league, £30M is nothing in comparison to the potential return. Goals is the one area I think we really need to boost. Plus two strikers/forwards in the vein of Eder and Musa would allow us to play 433 pretty comfortably - which is Claudio's other gave formation (look at his Chelsea days)

Just throwing this out there, I know he's a championship player but he knows where the back of the net is, Blackburns Jordan Rhodes might be worth a put a definite improvement on Ulloa

Don't read too much into that. It feels like we are being used to get more money out of Inter, but who really knows?

It went from no news at all to being linked to every striker in the world!

If we are looking to spend £7-15m Andre Gray from Burnley would be a good shout. He's tailor made for this team.

Talksport are speculating that Jordan Rhodes will be on his way into the Premiership this Window.  I wouldn't mind him, if the price was reasonable.

Pretty sure he's played for both Brentford and Burnley already this season, so couldn't join another club anyway.

Wouldn't mind him either, bags plenty of goals and would want to prove himself. I don't have any problem with signing players from the Championship, in fact it's preferable to some of the other options out there.

What's happened to Ings at Liverpool?

 

I actually think he's a better striker than Origi (who isn't) and Firmino, and would be tempted to get him on-loan.

I do like Andre Gray I've got to admit but they'd want silly money for him.

 

Can't be arsed with Jordan Rhodes. Over-rated.
