Sampson Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 I really, really want Gray to see some real game time. Since Albrighton's assists are mostly to Mahrez, overly marking Mahrez just about cancels out Albrighton's threat on goal. Get Gray causing more of a threat on the left, then we can punish the opposition for overly concentrating on the right. Or Albrighton if he picks up that part of his game. Albrighton has the most chances created of anyone in our side, even over Mahrez! And is in the top 10 on the most chances created stat in the Premier League with 42 chances created (36 key passes (I.e. a pass leading directly to a chance) and 6 assists) http://www.squawka.com/football-player-rankings#pass-accuracy#player-stats#english-barclays-premier-league|season-2015/2016#all-teams#all-player-positions#16#44#0#0#90#08/08/2015#02/02/2016#season#1#all-matches#keypass#desc#totalAssists is as much about the attacker finishing as the creator. If Vardy puts away that chance from 12 yards in the first half then everyone thinks Albrighton's done his job with a great pull-back and got an assist. Ditto if Vardy misses his goal then Drinkwater's fantastic assist is forgotten about. Obviously someone with a lot of assists is being very creative, but a lack of assists doesn't necessarily mean a lack of creativity. It can be a misleading stat.
Pasty1 Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 win tonight 2-1 Draw at Arsenal and loss at Man city... That'll do!!!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Hope Sturridge isn't fit. If he is, it'll only take Wasyl to stare at him from the bench and he'll be subbed immediately
Hammered Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 I think 2-2 draw, will that be a bad result? Yes, I actually need you foxes to get the 3 points. Please.
Jimbo Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 I'll be happy with 4 points from the next 3 games, really happy, don't care which games they come from. Obviously be happy if we start with 3 from tonight but I've got a bad feeling about tonight. Liverpool play in a way that's different from any other team (other than ourselves), they press high and non stop each game, that's pretty much what we saw at Anfield and it completely cancelled us out and saw us put in our worst performance of the season. Could be like a game of pinball in the middle. I can see us trying to rush the ball forward and getting a little frustrated tonight
ramboacdc Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 if we get a draw here i will be happy. if we get a win i will go to 33% "we're gonna win the title" mode. if we lose i will be checking results elsewhere.
RobHawk Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 They can't defend against height - so who would start with Ulloa over Shinji?
The Guvnor Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 We were not on our game on Boxing day and I expect a totally different performance from us tonight, Liverpool blow very hot and cold so you never know which team will turn up, never less I expect us to win.
Jimbo Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 They can't defend against height - so who would start with Ulloa over Shinji? Fixed! In all seriousness we, along with ever other team yet to play Liverpool, should have been practicing corners all week. Their defence, especially their keepers, have been and continue to be under the spotlight when it comes to set pieces. We should have had Fuchs aiming for a target that would right on the keepers head!
Sampson Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 They can't defend against height - so who would start with Ulloa over Shinji? Okazaki every time. Press them off the park.
cambridgefox Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 I'd snap your hand off for 3 draws from the next 3 games.yep, said that to someone last night.
Chester Dontlie Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Yup, start Okazaki if he's ready to play. Although I'm eager to see how will Leo do, hopefully his last performance gave him some confidence. Can't wait for the game. COYF! 3 points please.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Would really like us to win this, but Liverpool are the sort of infuriating team that can make us look like mugs and then lose 0-1 at home to Villa. Dangerous game, but I think we can beat them. 2-1, COYB
ramboacdc Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 will be praying for norwich, sunderland and southampton victories.
talking_goldfish Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 image.png I like that they'll be playing without a keeper, should make it a little easier
vandamman Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 will be praying for norwich, sunderland and southampton victories. I'm thinking Southampton could really do the business against Arsenal tonight, somehow they've crept up the table and have looked good in recent games.
Guest Col city fan Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Expecting a win tonight. Gonna get down early for a pint or two. COYB's!
SecretPro Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Leicester win. Arsenal lose. Man City draw. Spurs lose. Heaven.
Guest Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 I'll be disappointed if we don't win this. You have to take maximum points off mid table teams when your playing at home. It'll also relieve the pressure of the next 2 games where we shouldn't expect any points (but will get at least 1).
NewquayFox Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Wish I was up for this game, can see it going the same way as the Stoke game with st least 2 goals and another clean sheet..... Up the City......
