Donut Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 I think if Liverpool persist with the high press in every game, it will ultimately be their downfall.
I blame Wellens Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 We need a statement win tomorrow. An absolute shelling of Liverpool would do much to lower the blood pressure around these parts. Statement made against Stoke. 3 points please. Don't care how. 94th minute dodgy peno will do.
Candidcamera Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 We are rested and this must be an advantage. A win will set up the next 2 matches nicely. Vardy and Mahrez are better than any other team has.
nnfox Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 We are entering into three of the most important games of the season and I believe that they will be a real mental test. We have more than enough firepower to cause Liverpool all sorts of problems. Vardy, Mahrez, Albrighton, Gray, Shinji, Dyer all give us something going forward when/if they play. Liverpool's defence is sufficiently frail that we could create problems for them all night. I just hope that we go at them. I have noticed a tendency of CR to be a little more defensive minded when playing against "big" teams. I like it better when we pose problems for the opposition as opposed to trying to nullify their threat. Still, I trust CR, on the whole he has been quite good I suppose.
les-tah Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 hope vardy got his fire back! him V caulker could be exciting!
Ric Flair Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Drinkwater was badly missed against them at Anfield, I think he has a massive say on tonight. Another goal I reckon. 1-0 Leicester
Vacamion Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 If we lose, expect all perspective to be lost and the whiny beyotch brigade to climb in their whaaaaaaaaambulance and attribute it to a "lack of ambition", even though any players we might have signed at the end of the window would almost certainly not have been ready to join the team for this game. A further reason to fervently wish for an untroubled victory this evening. COYB

Lose tonight and the forum will probably be full of 'no ambition' comments. Personally I think we should have got a striker. So did Claudio.
Beliall Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 hope vardy got his fire back! him V caulker could be exciting! Caulker plays up front though
simon789us Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Think this will be a high scoring game hopefully another 3-0 boost that goal difference

Fvck me, some people are hard to please. He has been magnificent.
goose2010 Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Like I say most weeks play at our best and we will win, Liverpool got their tactics spot on against us on boxing day but they do seem to struggle with away games. Arsenal and Man City have tough games tonight as well Sunderland tend to do alright against City and Southampton are on fire at the minute. Could be 6 points clear after tonight but the big question is would that calm 80% of the people down in here?!
LCFCABC Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 I think tonight's result depends on how Liverpool play. If then turn it on like they did against Man City it could be over by half time. I think they'll want to make a statement so could see if as a very open game. Personally I'd take a draw tonight.
filbertway Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 I think if Liverpool persist with the high press in every game, it will ultimately be their downfall. Seen plenty of games where they haven't pressed particularly high or hard. No team does it at full intensity for more than 20/30 or so minutes in a game i'm sure.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Morning all, Liverpool at home tonight. The break from playing will have hopefully helped the team, ready to be fresh for the upcoming matches. From what I gather Liverpool played very well at their place, and their tactics were right on the day ultimately giving them the 3pts. The start of 3 games for us against top opposition with some classy players, a win tonight would be fantastic heading into Man City and Arsenal. I think the Stoke win could actually be key, it was such a quality win & performance and I'm hoping we can carry that momentum into tonight's game. I'll predict a 2-1 win to us.
foxfanazer Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Just imagine two wins from these next 3 games! Think we'll draw tonight peesonally but we're more than capable of getting all 3

I think they'll want to make a statement so could see if as a very open game. Personally I'd take a draw tonight. I'd take a win the same as I'd have taken the two penalties we missed. You achieve things by winning not drawing every time to come up against a difficult test.
breadandcheese Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Three points tonight will ease the malaise of our failure to bring in another striker. The start of our very tough run.
suffolk fox Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Liverpool will play a high pressing game they do under Klopp, this, being our downfall at Anfield. I hope tactically, Ranieri is wise to this and we can counter. We should be rested for this let's hope our rest pays off. Ranieri has said Armartey will not be playing in this so maybe, he won't even be on the bench. Praying Simpson doesn't get injured who is going to play right back if he does? We need to win this two really tough games after.
Captain... Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Considering the despair on here we did better than Liverpool in the Transfer window: Proof: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/january-transfer-window-power-rankings-7280478 They have signed Caulker and a couple of prospects that won't play this season. With their injury problems and the number of games they potentially have coming up they haven't done well. It will still be a tough game but we will be fitter fresher and have no distractions, a win here will be MASSIVE. C'mon you blooooos!!!!
ARM1968 Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Hope we just play to our potential. If we do and with DD back I can see us getting a good result.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Liverpool have conceded a league high 8 corners. And we're all of the sudden great at them. This is true - we look like we've focussed on corners a lot in training recently, even the short ones have looked threatening
thybluefox Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Almost regardless of result, I'll be fairly happy as long as we play as well as we can do. If we perform like we did at their place on Boxing Day then we're in for a dull evening. Will be a tough game though no matter how we play - we've got the pace and ability to break them apart as long as everyone is giving it their all. 2-1 to us I think - they could score first though.
RowlattsFox Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Its got to the stage where I'd be disappointed if we don't beat these. Big opportunity to give us a bit of breathing space ahead of two tough away games. Hopefully we're not as defensive as we have been against the 'big' clubs in recent times because there are goals there for us if we attack. Important not to lose I reckon, especially after the disappointment of not strengthening yesterday.
