filbertstreet Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 send sturridge a picture of wasyl he'll be injured again
TJB-fox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Did a right job on us when we last played, just get at them, attack attack attack
Guest foxestalkisfullofidiots Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 They played better than us, but there's no way "ripped us a new one". A bit hyperbolic for a 0-1 defeat away from home methinks? look at the date they joined the forum and the name, someone is on the windup!
kingcarr21 Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 look at the date they joined the forum and the name, someone is on the windup! He joined a year ago what's that got to do with anything I think Gerard meant in terms of the performance rather than the score line. Which Liverpool played us completely off the park in all areas.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 Interesting game this one. I think we'll win 2-1. It's helped that we've had this break, and after the fantastic Stoke (h) win I'm hoping the morale will be good heading into this match.
David Lowe Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 The one difference I have noticed with Liverpool is the pressing early in matches. They rarely seem to be able to keep it up for 90 minutes. The only problem is that our style of play will not tire them out too much because we don't tend to keep the ball for long periods. However I am hoping that if we can get through the early stages without being forced into a mistake, we could prosper later in the match.
Guest Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 I think after the earlier defeat to these we'll be really up for it and win 3-1.

Captain... Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 Nor sure how these two go together? Liverpool press a lot when they don't have the ball, this is a very intense approach and can leave players struggling if they spend a lot of the game pressing and chasing the ball. We don't keep possession very well so they will not knacker themselves out by chasing us around.
RedSoxUK Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 I thought we were sub-par at Anfield, one of the few games we've actually been down and out (we were still in with a chance throughout though.) Klopp got it just about right against us, but I thought we underperformed over them out performing us - which makes me believe it was a sort of one off, and that the Liverpool faithful and Klopp are in for one hell of a surprise when they come to our place. If they continue to press, continue to leave spaces then i'm positive a fully fit Vardy will punish them. The kind of game that will make or break our season, it's said almost every week now but this is really the kind of callibre we need to be beating if we're to keep up our ride at the top. Beat these and the Arsenal and Man City games become a little less pressured.

I have traumatic memories of us not being able cope in the midfield. Kante was the only one who did okay in that match. Not sure how we'll change our game to cope better tbf.
jammie82uk Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 Stat time On the day of this game, Leicester City will have spent 43 days at the top of the 2015-16 Premier League table - only Man City (100 days) have been top for longer this season. Liverpool are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League games against the Foxes (W5 D2). Liverpool have allowed their opponent to score with their first shot on target in all four Barclays Premier League games so far in 2016. The Reds have lost just one of their last five away games against Leicester City in the Premier League (W2 D2 L1). Leicester City have scored the most goals from fast-breaks this season (5) and have also had the most attempts on goal from counter attacks (18). The Foxes have made 37.5% of their passes in the final third of the pitch this season; a Premier League high. Jamie Vardy has touched the ball in the opposition box more often than any other player in the Premier League so far this season (146). Liverpool have scored the lowest proportion of their clear-cut chances in the Premier League so far in 2015-16 (31.6%). The last 11 teams to be top of the Premier League at the turn of February have gone on to win the title that season. Riyad Mahrez has been involved in more goals than any other Premier League player so far this season (21 - 13 goals, eight assists). In comparison, no Liverpool player has reached double figures in terms of Premier League goal involvement this season with Roberto Firmino their most involved (nine - five goals, four assists).
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 I think Liverpool put in one of the best performances of any team we've faced this year at Anfield, I think they made us look worse than we were, absolutely no time on the ball whatsoever. But with Drinkwater available for this and hopefully the Liverpool I often see (rather than the one that turned up against us at Anfield) turning up we should do them.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 Flopp and his boys will be holding hands and going back up to he NW with their tails between their legs after the rampant Foxes have given them a severe beating
STUHILL Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 Really confident of winning this. 3-1 or even 3-0 again. It was an awful game last time round and we were very off colour but Liverpool kept it scrappy and it didn't suit us. On our own pitch, with confidence back from last week and Vardy and Mahrez looking sharp again, I think we will be too strong for them.
talking_goldfish Posted 29 January 2016 Posted 29 January 2016 Sturridge has now been ruled out out for this too!

jammie82uk Posted 29 January 2016 Posted 29 January 2016 Just noticed we don't play until Tuesday!! Arrrghhh that's shit How did you not know this, are you even a fan?
biggs Posted 29 January 2016 Posted 29 January 2016 5-1 Leicester.......Klopp left scratching his head as he thought he had us figured out..... Spurs fans go on another rant about how useless we are and relegation battlers switch to all blue kits
Thracian Posted 29 January 2016 Posted 29 January 2016 Hopefully we'll pose far too fast and dangerous a counter-attacking threat for Liverpool to smother us as they did at Anfield, particular after the demands of the previous two games. With Vardy back to his sharpest, Mahrez being relatively rested and our midfield being at full strength and then some, it's basically a case of Ranieri getting his tactics right and making sure we counter from a place where we can be effective. Having new contenders for places should help ensure everyone's working flat out and showing themselves determined not to be the ones being substituted should any changes be needed. We've countered some good teams this season and we can do the same again. But whatever else we have to match the spirit of Liverpool, show ruthlessness when opportunities arise and stay on the front foot even if we take the lead. Can't wait for the game to be honest.
