DangerFox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 I love the transfer window hype but II fear this window could be an anti climax and underwhelming. Ok realistically, we shouldn't expect too much and it's probably the fact that we are top of the league causing all the rumours but I'd love us to make a real statement. I think we may well end up with a Loic Remy type signing come 11pm tomorrow at best. I suppose I don't mind as I'm sure it'll be right for the squad. At the end of the day I'm not in the managers position. I'd have liked Musa if honest after watching all the videos etc. We'll see though, can't wait for the sigh of relief following the 11 bells of tomorrow night!
Larry_LCFC Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Remy seems pretty much done from what I'm ready around the web. Shame we haven't got one more in but we've got this far with what we have.
EnderbyFox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Will be more happy that we've kept our key players than annoyed at the lack of signings to be honest
Fez of Mahrez Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 I think we've done brilliantly to sign two players with incredible potential for under £10million. It's a big assumption but from watching videos of the players we've been strongly linked with - mainly Eder and Musa, but also Niang - it seems we were after a left-sided attacking player who would replace Albrighton as a starter, perhaps to play 4-3-3. Even if we don't sign anyone, it could be that Amartey is so impressive in training and the odd sub appearance that we go with that anyway to freshen things up a bit. We've certainly got more options now than before the window opened so it's been a success already. A decent addition up front would be a bonus.
richardsfoxes Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Dont understand people not wanting Remy , he is unbelievably talented when fit and knows where the goal is. He barely plays at chelsea as soon as he gets match fit and has a run in with us im sure he will score important goals for us, if i remember rightly Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea all wanted him 2 years ago.

Don't forget we have already signed two first team players with great potential. Plus it looks like a third player is on his way...
Bluetintedspecs Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 I especially love all this sort of bollox that keeps popping up

If we add a striker tomorrow and keep hold of everyone the manager wants to keep, I think we can call this window a success. Personally I think Remy could do a job for us. This time last year most would have been over the moon to get him in. Yes we have improved a lot since then but still...
DangerFox Posted 31 January 2016 Author Posted 31 January 2016 2 more points I should've mentioned is as a couple of good comments now in the thread. 1. Success is keeping hold of your best players 2. For future proofing, the window has been good with young talent coming in.
foxoffderby Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Happy if we get Remy. But I really wanted Musa. Glad to keep our better players
Bluetintedspecs Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Something else....to get some of you guys through tomorrow I hear prozac is good seriously though I genuinely feel we've had a fantastic window to date Gray bargain and can't wait to see Amartey when he makes his appearance . I'm also confident there will be some nice icing on the cake tomorrow so relax and good night.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 I've got 20 million reasons for thinking it's not over yet!
ozleicester Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 We had three brilliant results in the window............Mahrez, Vardy and Kante, are all Leicester City players!!!!!
Legend fox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 We had three brilliant results in the window............Mahrez, Vardy and Kante, are all Leicester City players!!!!! Very true
Donut Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I think weve quietly done some good business with Amartey and Gray, and although an extra striker would be nice, the priority is getting in the right man. Paying over the odds and cobbling together a last minute deal tends not to work well. Past examples from other clubs show that, past recent Leicester examples show it in Kramaric and Beckford. Plus, doesnt seem like any clubs have even sniffed around our bigger players either.
Guest Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I'm really excited about Amartey joining. Think he could possibly have as big an impact as Kante. If we don't sign another striker, he might make that a non-issue.
Guest Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Kante, Amartey, Mahrez, Fuchs and Vardy on the counter-attack. I'm not sure where the opposition would even start.
dpjfox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 keep the best players tweak settled squad if chance arises, we will be in a strong position in summer to sign top players (including those missed in january), all good

Buce Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 It's a bit early to call it an anti-climax; we're still building-up to the full, frenzied, head-banging against-the-headboard, bit. Besides, I think Gray and Amarty are both excellent business.
The Unknown Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I think it's been a good window for us, two players with great potential for not much money, in today's terms. Linked with great players we could only dream of two or three years ago, Musa, Remy, Niang all players you would never think we would get linked with. Summer will be more exciting once we've secured champs league footy!!
st albans fox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I think I've entered a parallel universe where the transfer window ended yesterday ? Please post the pool result tomorrow morning so I can cancel my journey if we lose!
Vlad the Fox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Anti climax? I remember the days when we'd only sign 2 or 3 players a season, if we were lucky they'd be half decent.
