Webbo Posted 14 February 2016 Share Posted 14 February 2016 I am trying to think of a moment when the ref needed to stop his watch between 90 and 94 minutes. When Vardy fouled someone in their half. The ref even pointed to his watch.

ImBlue Posted 14 February 2016 Share Posted 14 February 2016 Referee has given Arsenal the game. 1) Never a 2nd yellow on Danny Simpson, if that's a yellow card, half the challenges in that game were reds. 2) Mahez was brought down should have had a 2nd penalty. 3) Coquelin should have been sent off for shoving Mahrez off the pitch. 4) Where the **** did he get 4 extra minutes from? Number 3 is a point that most miss, he was shoving him with 2 hands and went over to do it, how many times do you see players pushing and shoving getting a yellow a peice? ImBlue Posted 14 February 2016 Share Posted 14 February 2016 Why because we lost?Because one decision changed the game. It was a run of the mill foul, it's it's a yellow, we see 5 reds a game. It was 5 minutes after his yellow and no warning, nothing, just so common sense used at all. He just didn't have to do it. If Simpson isn't sent off, are Arsenal up in arms as to why not? Nope. And that says it all. Imaginary cards are a book able offence, why not punished?

Did everyone of our fouls receive a yellow card? If it makes you feel better to pretend we were cheated then go for it but no neutral would see it that way. Buzzell Posted 14 February 2016 Share Posted 14 February 2016 As if people are saying the ref had a good game Everybody is accusing the ref of bottling it because we lost. If it wasn't for Was being hot headed and rushing into a challenge he was never going to win then maybe we would of got something out of the game. If we drew the game no doubt half the people on here wouldn't be moaning about the ref, and that's a fact.
Charl91 Posted 14 February 2016 Share Posted 14 February 2016 As pissed off as I am, we can't really blame the ref. Simpson didn't have to make the stupid fouls. Was didn't have to give away that stupid foul either.

The point is, there was probably 20 worse fouls that went unpunished today, that decision was not consistent with the rest of the decisions in the first half (when he let nearly everything go). Something affected him at half time, and it's pretty obvious what it was.

The way arsenal dominated the game last 20 mins means they ultimately deserved to win the game. They were very impressive. And missed a lot of easy chances. The game should have been over way before the 95th minute
49er Posted 14 February 2016 Share Posted 14 February 2016 Felt that we were comfortable until the red card. Vardy must have been licking his lips when he saw Chambers and Mertesacker lining up for the second half. Not sure why Gray came on and Mahrez/Albrighton were taken off. Surely, we could have done with their experience? Instead of bringing Wazilewski on, why didn't we put Chilwell at left back and Fuchs on the right? ImBlue Posted 14 February 2016 Share Posted 14 February 2016 A player knows when he's been daft. The look of absolute disbelief said it all, I don't think the Arsenal players genuinely thought it was a yellow card offence.
Spiritwalker Posted 14 February 2016 Share Posted 14 February 2016 This is a contact sport if every player was given a yellow card for the same offences as Simpson's games would be finishing 5 a side. A weak ref bottled it. I can't believe some of our fans are saying it was a good call.
The Doctor Posted 14 February 2016 Share Posted 14 February 2016 Boots I would get down to specsavers You probably should, there's clear contact with monreals boot and Mahrez's knee, and none with the ball. It's a definite penalty.
Blanesta Posted 14 February 2016 Share Posted 14 February 2016 I don't think we were cheated at all, The ref made mistakes for both teams, We got a silly sending off, and Arsenal threw the kitchen sink at us. Fair play to the lads we tried to hang on. That's how it goes.
Chester Dontlie Posted 14 February 2016 Share Posted 14 February 2016 Of course Atkinson is to blame, that was never a second yellow for Simpson. It's not the first time I've seen the ref trying "to even things a bit" in the second half. But still, LCFC sits at the top with two points, the lads just need to grab more points in the next fixtures.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 14 February 2016 Share Posted 14 February 2016 I am not going on a rant. We played well up to the sending off. They were lucky in the last 30 seconds. Move on to the next, still top of league with easier games in sight.
lee7 Posted 14 February 2016 Share Posted 14 February 2016 The players obviously control what happened on the pitch once Simpson was sent off so their is no arguments from me in regards to Arsenal winning as they created too many chances to even count However the ref helped them by sending Simpson off! If your going to give a yellow for challenges like the second one then you'll be giving 15+ yellows a match. The challenge Was made for the free kick at the end was clumsy and irrational, the Arsenal player was going no where with it and it's Unforgiveable. It invited so much pressure and if Welbeck had not of scored then there was a queue behind him waiting to nod home. Good first half but the ref listened to the Arsenal players and let the crowd dictate his decisions in the second. Also whatever happened to getting a caution for insinuating towards the red to caution an opponent?

Now that Simpson is banned, is it time for Amartey to step forward?
