kingfox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 9 - Kante 8 - Morgan, Albrighton & Drinkwater 6/7 - The rest
Fox92 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Kasper 8 Fuchs 7 Morgan 8 Huth 7 Simpson 7 - Shouldn't have been sent off Mahrez 7 Kante 9 - Yet again sensational Drinkwater 7 Albrighton 8 Okazaki 5 - Thought he was poor today. 5 might have been harsh actually but no more than a 6. Vardy 7 - Tried/did his very best with little support Gray 5 Wasilewski 4 - Stupid foul for their winner King 4 - Wtf, strange choice to play him wide Renieri 6 - Poor substitutions today. Okazaki should have gone off instead of Mahrez. As for King wtf was that about. Referee 1 - **** off Arsenal 8 - Retain the ball so well and possess genuine class
Guest ttfn Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Schmeichel 9 - That save was absolutely unreal, worth a 9 on its own. Simpson 5 - Was playing pretty well but fouling too often (3 before his second yellow). I think the second booking was extremely harsh and whilst it was a stupid foul, he had done well before the red card. Morgan 7 - Another solid performance Huth 7 - as above Fuchs 7 - did ok, got a bit of a going over by Walcott at the end of the game. Mahrez 5 - Didn't do much really but think Ranieri dropped a bollock taking him off before Okazaki. Kante 8.5 - first half, obvious 10. Second half 7 - not as much of an influence. Drinkwater 6 - did ok, shocking tackle on Ramsey. Albrighton 6 - huffed and puffed. Okazaki 5 - didn't play well today, but worked hard as usual. Vardy 7 - good penalty, did little else other than chase lost causes. Looked knackered by 65 minutes. Subs: Wasyl 6 - was doing fine until that stupid foul. Gray 5 - needed to get forward a bit more to help Vardy. Tried his best. King n/a Ranieri 5 - thought he ballsed up the post red card substitutions. Effectively he took off Mahrez for Gray which blunted our counter-attacking and didn't really improve us defensively. Ref 3 - probably worse than "very poor" but I can only imagine it was a very hard game to officiate.
Sampson Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Schmeichel - A couple of superb saves. Couldn't have done much with the goals - 8 Simpson - Yeah. - 4 Morgan - Several excellent blocks and excellent defensive display - 8 Huth - Not as dominant as Morgan, but still played well - 7 Fuchs - Thought he struggled first half, but much better second half - 6 Mahrez - Just kept running into Arsenal players - 5 Kante - MOTM again - 9 Drinkwater - That rash challenge could've cost us but played well - 7 Albrighton - One of our best defensive players and created the best chance from open play. - 8 Vardy - Excellent for the penalty but otherwise isolated - 7 Okazaki - He's been in great form recently but really struggled today, lost possession too much. - 5 Gray - 6 Wasilewski - 3 King - N/A
Leicesterpool Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Kasper was MOTM some of his saves were world class today. Shame about the last one but not a lot he could do about that one.
Guest ttfn Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Yeah worth saying that Arsenal were great when we went down to 10 men.
foxinsox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Arsenal away was always going to be a tough gig. Kasper and Kante both 9 7 for everyone apart from Simpson, who was being a bit too physical when the cards were flying. Being on a yellow quietened down Kante and Fuchs also. Subs were poor, thought Was did well until that final challenge. Not the game to be physical when that ref was about. Gray was good in part, but perhaps Chilwell would have been a better sub.
ScouseFox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 claudio 4 - the team picks itself, and when we were in a spot of bother he got it badly wrong with the subs. taking mahrez off was effectively admitting we were having 1-0 and nothing more, however that's understandable. taking shinji off was asking to lose. and we did. kasper 8 - harsh to be beaten twice and made a superb save simpson 6 - harsh red, had roughed up sanchez a bit like wes 7 huth 7 fuchs 5 - probs the worst ive seen him play for us. rinsed time and time again by oxlade chamberlain and looked dodgy on the ball, too riyad 6 drinkwater 7 ngolo 9 - unreal albrighton 7 shinji 7 - fantastic defensive work once more, should never have gone off and no surprise we conceded twice in 20 mins without him pressing vardy 7 - well won and well taken penalty subs; was 1 - for the amount of points he cost us with sheer idiocy king n/a gray 6 arsenal 7 - pretty good and again the best team we've played at playing our system. although no shots on goal for 70 mins once again shows nobody really knows what to do when they play us. ref 3
Corky Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Schmeichel- 8 (Two fine saves, one outstanding, did really well to stop Ramsey in the first half where a mis-timed tackle could've been costly, good starting position). Simpson- 4 (Did well until his sending-off, will have to see it again but on first viewing it looked like a pull back on a yellow card which usually leads to a red). Morgan- 8 (Superb really, such awareness to get into position and block. Seems comfortable with the ball at feet too) Huth- 7 Fuchs- 7 (One rash challenge left him hindered on a yellow which allowed Walcott freedom to run. Otherwise, solid) Mahrez- 6 (Not his best game but still offered flashes of threat, unfortunate to be taken off) Kante- 9 (Simply incredible. The stamina, the energy, the quality of this man is something special. We'll do well to keep him in the near future) Drinkwater- 7 (Poor challenge on Ramsey, usual busy match otherwise) Albrighton- 7 (Helped out defensively, decent effort) Okazaki- 5 (Never really in the game, seemed to run into defenders too much. Would've been useful to harry and press later on) Vardy- 7 (Worked his socks off, won and converted the penalty, probably should've buried the header) Subs- Wasilewski- 3 (Stupid foul in the last minute after a solid effort) Gray- 4 (Ok but not really the situation for him) King- 4 (Nothing special or alarming for the short time he was on) Arsenal- 7 Atkinson- 4 (Both sides will probably have complaints, both Coquelin and Drinkwater fortunate to stay on).
weller54 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Kasper 7..-1 for his awful distribution! Simpson 6..too rash!.. Cost us the game! Fuchs 7..standard performance Morgan 8..a rock Huth. 8..as above Albrighton.. 7...worked hard Drinkwater. 7..could have seen red! Kante 10+...Robot!.. Android!.. Not human! Okazaki.. 5.. Wasn't great today! Mahrez.. 7..bits of quality! Vardy.. 7..apart from pen incident he was quiet! Gray.. 5..shouldn't have played too inexperienced for such a game! Wasilewski..4 -3 for that last minute rush of blood to the head! King.. 3... WTF did he do? Ranieri 3..substitutions were a total fvck up today! Referee.. Cvnt.. 0 Arsenal.. 4 (playing against 11)
martyn Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Kasper 8 Simpson 6 Huth 7 Morgan 8 Fuchs 6 Albrighton 7 Kante 9 Drinkwater 7 Mahrez 7 Okazaki 6 Vardy 7 Wasikewski 6 Gray 6 King N/A
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 I thought Schmeichel and Kante were superb today overall. My two choices for MOTM. Schmeichel made some great saves, and Kante was phenomenal throughout.
gurru991 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Kasper & N'Golo were both excellent ( MOTM ) The substitutions showed our lack of depth on the bench. Amartey will help that a lot
americanfox Posted 15 February 2016 Posted 15 February 2016 Kasper: 8 Simpson: 5 Huth/Morgan/Fuchs: 6.5 Drinky: 7 Kante: 9 Mahrez/Albrighton: 6.5 Shinji: 6.5 Vardy: 7.5 Gray: 5 Wasyl: 3 King: N/A Claudio: 5. The subs weren't great, but the idea behind them were fine. We were playing for a point and given the club's playing style, you can't be that surprised. The huge problem was just Claudio not having a proper right back as a sub -- Wasyl was a disaster and that snowballed. Atkinson: 0. He was atrocious for both sides. Arsenal pre-red: 5. With 11 men, we would have won. Arsenal post-red: 9
Nod.E Posted 15 February 2016 Posted 15 February 2016 Some harsh ratings on Was here. Appreciate he essentially cost us the point in the end but up until that foul he had put some monumental challenges in on his wing.
RowlattsFox Posted 15 February 2016 Posted 15 February 2016 Kasper 8 - For that save alone, hardly tested otherwise and needs to kick more sensibly. Simpson 5 - Solid enough first half but needed to show a bit of common sense. Huth 7 - Solid Morgan 8 - Consistently strong at the minute. Fuchs 6 - Not his best game I thought. Albrighton 7 - Was our most creative player first half I thought Drinkwater 8 - Excellent again, did he manage to avoid a yellow card? Not sure how. Kante 9 - Incredible, thought the yellow affected him the last 20 minutes as he didn't put his foot in as much. Mahrez 6 - Monreal did well on him first half but he started the second half really brightly, was dragged off too soon I thought. Okazaki 6 - Poor on the ball but good positionally Vardy 7 - Great pen, unlucky with header but was isolated after the red card. never stopped running. Wasyl 4 - Did pretty well but deserves a low rating for that moment alone Gray 6 - Strange sub to make but he did ok, worked hard and made a couple of crucial interceptions. Not good enough on the ball though King N/A
Guest MattP Posted 15 February 2016 Posted 15 February 2016 CR - 5 For only the second time this year thought hehad a bad game, Mahrez off iinstead of Okazaki was strange and that situation wasn't for Gray. Kasper - 8 - Did nothing wrong and put in one outstanding save that should have earnt us a point. Simpson - 4 - Complete stupidity to do that on a yellow with 40 mins still to go. Indefensible. Huth - 7 - Up until that final set piece him and Morgan faultless. Morgan - 7 Fuchs - 7 - Standard performance did very well apart from a couple of times he for beat. Mahrez - 7 - Not a good as last week but a huge threat, took off top early. Drinkwater - 8 - Typical performance again; looks so confident on the ball, him and Kante are a joy to watch. Kante - 9 - What a player, he's absolutely everywhere, had the stamina of a marathon runner, positional sense incredible. Albrighton - 8 - Did very well, beautiful ball for Vardy deserved a goal, tireless work when down to two . Okasaki - 5 - Worked hard but short on quality, he's probably the only weak link in a very good side. Vardy - 7 - Great penalty and our only goal threat, thankless task down to ten. Wasyl 6 - He'd get an 8 if it wasn't for that late tackle. Gray 5 Really not the game for him, has to work harder in that situation.
Kendal Fox Posted 15 February 2016 Posted 15 February 2016 Schmeichel - 8Simpson - 5Morgan - 7Huth - 7Fuchs - 6Mahrez - 7Kante - 9Drinkwater - 7Albrighton - 7Okazaki - 6Vardy - 7 *Subs weren't great, so not going to rate.* I think it's important to take a step back here - With the exception of Schmeichel and Kante who were both outstanding, let's not kid ourselves, the rest of the team were not great, the subs even worse. Yet, with 10 men for the majority of the 2nd half - understandably even less at their best, we ALMOST eked out a result against Arsenal (at the Emirates). And that was with Arsenal going into another gear, once Simpson was sent off. Once the pain and frustration subsides, I think there is much to take heart from. Assuming we are well rested and close to our best, we should beat Norwich and that will mean another week at the top for us in another month.
michigan_fox Posted 15 February 2016 Posted 15 February 2016 Schmeichel - 8 - Great save from Giroud, thought perhaps he could have just gotten a touch on Walcott's goal.Simpson - 1 - Surprised others have been so generous. Thought his first yellow was a bit harsh, but to get himself sent off the way he did was shocking. The biggest match of the season, up a goal at the Emirates, and he gets sent off for a very silly foul. For me he clearly allowed Giroud to get his head. A match is never about just one man, but one could argue Simpson cost the team at least a point yesterday.Morgan - 7Huth - 8 - Very good as usualFuchs - 5 - Struggled (understandably) with Arsenal's paceMahrez - 6Kante - 9 - MOTM and there's beginning to be an argument he's our best all-round playerDrinkwater - 6 - Lucky to escape punishment for that tackle on RamseyAlbrighton - 7 - Loved his effortOkazaki - 6Vardy - 7 - Should be the penalty taker until his performances dictate otherwise
ThaiFox Posted 15 February 2016 Posted 15 February 2016 Ranieri -7- In my view he got it wrong after Simpson was sent off. Would not have put Gray on, a luxury player who is to lightweight for a side defending for our lives. Ulloa would have been a better and stronger choice. Up until then it was working well. Kasper -9.5- MOTM. Brilliant save, looked in control. No chance with either goal. Fuchs -6- Worst match for us in my view. Out of position a few times and was beaten a few times, plus some misplaced passes. Morgan -8- Good match for Wes. Huth -8- Strong and commanding. Simpson -5- Although his dismissal was harsh, he was silly and it cost us big time, disrupting a defense which was in complete control. Up till then, was playing well. Mahrez -6- Struggled to get into the game, but showed some lovely touches. He was clipped slightly for 'that' penalty appeal, which may have put us 2-0 up. Kante -9- Sensational performance yet again. Awesome player for us. Drinkwater -7- Very lucky not to have been sent off, but worked his socks off and played very well throughout. Albrighton -7- Another good performance, worked hard and put a few good passes together. Could have had an assist when Vardy's header was saved. Okazaki -6- Not so good as in recent matches. Ran, tried hard, but no real product from him. Vardy -8- Superb penalty. Shame his header didn't go in from Albrighton's cross. Ran everywhere as usual, had no support. Gray -5- I remember one decent tackle, but in my view should not have come on when we were down to 10 men. Wasyl -5- Poor Wasyl. He is so professional and never lets us down....until that foul. Still can't believe he made such a stupid foul when he is so experienced. King -4- No idea he was on. Officials -4- Poor decisions throughout today. Made a point of speaking to Drinky for talking back, but did nothing with Arse-nal players who were in his face and mouthing off all match, doing everything they could to get our players into trouble. Thought Mahrez was slightly caught for another penalty, but didn't have the balls to give it. Silly cards given to players (especially Simpson) when far worse things went on. I could go on for ages with their poor decisions. Arsenal -6- I thought them brilliant when they thumped us at the King Power, but yesterday they looked scared. Their school girl moaning all match made me hate their tactics and with the referee doing nothing, it worked as they panicked him into making poor decisions. They are better than this, but I marked them down because of their playacting and childish behaviour. So, onwards we go. After Arse-nal beat us 2-5 at KP we went on to get 27 points in the next 12 matches. I hope Ranieri makes this point to the squad, because if we can repeat this we will be very, very close with 80 points, and it means Arse-nal and Tottingham would need 30 points and Man City 34 to overtake us and that is not easy with 12 matches left.
The Blur Posted 15 February 2016 Posted 15 February 2016 Schmeichel 8- Took his kicks well, made some great saves and pulled off that tackle on Ramsey which actually started an attacking move for us!Simpson 5 - Solid before his red so I marked him down for that but I have not seen the replay yet so I do not know if it is harsh or notMorgan 8 - ImmenseHuth 7 - Did his bitFuchs 6- I thought he was bit substandard. Mahrez 6 - Drove at Arsenal defence which forced them to lay off which created space for others but no end productKante 9 - Phenomenal- absolutely monstrous performance. Shame the sending off curbed his influenceDrinkwater 8 - Complemented Kante well- played some fanastic trademark balls to Vardy.Albrighton 8- Intelligent performance and worked his socks off to negate Arsenal in the first half.Okazaki 4- Worked hard but ballsed up our every attacking moves when the ball came to him today.Vardy 8 good penalty and did not gave up at all in second half with his chasing. I was with my Arsenal mate in the home end and he said Giroud will never played like that if he was in Vardy's situation. Almost got me beaten up when I accidentally clapped when he tried to gee us up in the second half!Subs:Wasyl 5-Marked down for that foul.Gray 6- Played bit too conservative which is understandable but he was the only one who have the speed to get near to VardyKing 5- Did not do too muchRanieri 6 - Mahrez off was a bad call. I can see the logic putting King on the wing though.Ref NA Can't comment as I have not seen replays yet Arsenal- 7 Bit too lacklustre but some of their play were excellent. Morgan- 8 (Superb really, such awareness to get into position and block. Seems comfortable with the ball at feet too) I am not sure if I agree- hoofed it on quite few occasions.
drofmor56 Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Kasper 9 As good as i have seen him play for us Simpson 6 Was v. unlucky re the 1st yellow card (Sanchez's gamesmanship worked) but stupid to allow Arsenal to again force the Refs hand re the 2nd. Morgan 8 some good blocks throughout the game ,but think he tired towards the end.But by then our entire defence was almost punchdrunk ! Huth 7 played his part on the floor, but he didnt win many headers as the game went on. Fuchs 7 OK but for someone with his experience he got beaten too easily on several occasions Albrighton 8 Surprised me .He really stepped up to the plate. Drinkwater 8 100 per cent committed throughout the game, his tackle on Ramsey was just that, nothing nasty intended Kante 9 Class Mahrez 7 Tried but no moments of inspiration. Not a penalty, in fact i think he would have been better staying on his feet he had the defender beat. Okazaki 6 Worked hard but he doesnt inspire me with confidence re his finishing. When he was wrongly flagged offside early on, he still would not have scored ! Vardy 7 Won and converted the penalty well ,but it looked like he lost heart towards the end, which to me was slightly dissapointing Subs Was 7 Did v.well up until that rush of blood at the end.Typical Was ! Gray 7 Considering his inexperience he did OK. Made a couple of v good tackles/blocks towards the end King 6 Not on that long, hardly noticed him but then again he ofter does a lot of good work that goes unnoticed REf 6 Think he got most of the decisions right, the big exceptions were the foul by Morgan before our goal and Simpsons 1st yellow which wasnt even a foul. But he needed to be stronger re the Arsenal players gamesmanship. Arsenal 6 Hardly a shot on target for the first 60 mins. Their gamesmanship won them the points, but as much as i hate to see it ,it worked for them Claudio 7 For the 1st 55 mins it was brilliant , then was undone by the sending off. If we had held out for the last 30 seconds he would have got an 8 or 9 !
americanfox Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Subs Was 7 Did v.well up until that rush of blood at the end.Typical Was ! A 7 is a good performance. You mean to tell me Wasyl was "good", given his moment of insanity cost the team 2 points?
