Vardy Street

All streets in this area are named after nuts, ie filbert, Brazil, Hazel, etc.

We are a bunch of nutters, Vardy the biggest, so naming a street after him, keeps up the tradition.

Not going to happen.

All sorts of rules about naming roads including NOT naming them after anyone still alive.

Anyone fancy trying to sell a house on Jimmy Savile Road?

I am a Parish Councillor. At last weeks meeting for my village I did jokingly suggest that one of the two streets we were to suggest street names for was to be called Vardy Way... lol

Well thats just stupid ! ...    they would obviously rename it to something like  'Dead pedo bast*rd motherfvcker Road'  to remove the stigma.

Lineker Road exists. All those roads in Rushy Mead that are named after living golfers too. That's just off the top of my head, so I'm sure there's more examples around Leicester and the rest of the U.K.

So basically you're talking out your arse lol

This development project should have a park at the heart of it.

It could feature a Conrad Logan memorial bench and a Knocky Knoll kiddies' play area sheltered by a row of Birches. There would be a sea-life themed conservation area decorated with a large Konch and populated with Kermorgants, I mean cormorants.

Consideration could be given to a Wood for kite-flying, but it would probably never get off the ground.

The facility would be serviced by a park-the-bus-and-ride facility, operating to/from the Howard's End gentrified retirement home. Eateries would be provided in the form of Matty's Fry-ups and the GTF Shirtbuster burger van.

The park keeper, Herr Hoof, would kick any trouble-makers out of the park.

What did Bob do that made him  so special to have a street named after him?  He probably scared the bloody council to death if they didn't?!!
