Benguin Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Clattenburg and Oliver are the best by a country mile in the league. I think Oliver is better but Clattenburg usually gives us a dodgey pen. Pawson is pretty inept but I think my least fave is mike jones because of that Liverpool game.
erlee Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 He is not the worst -- i reckon the crappiest are * Lee Mason * Mike Jones then pretty 'ordinary': * Madley * atkinson
EastAnglianFox Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Kept the game flowing and was never in the limelight for any rash decisions, just as a referee should be...impressive for me.
ScouseFox Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 thought considering he had absolutely nothing to do he was rubbish
erlee Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 i didnt noticed the ref,,,,,,,,, so he must have done good
ithuriel Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Actually had a good game , will wonders never cease.
AyewJoking Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 cant remember any bookings and there were one or two incidents that other refs may have got a card out for. dont really like bookings (or penalties) as refs are such pússies these days they always look to even things out.
DB11 Posted 14 March 2016 Author Posted 14 March 2016 I thought he could have offered Mahrez a little more protection by getting a card out after he was hacked down twice in quick succession by the same player
TJB-fox Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 No complaints for the ref tonight surely? Thought he got every decision spot on (well the two big incidents; the supposedly offside goal and Wes pen) Thought he had a good game overall, lenient with cards and let the game play at a fast tempo.
Chester Dontlie Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 I thought the ref was more than decent. Obviously every game is different but at least he doesn't hand out cards to everyone and his mom as Mr Valentine's (Atkinson) does
StanSP Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 In terms of calling free-kicks and fouls he was spot on. But I thought Simpson, Sissoko and Shelvey should have got bookings. Simpson for the tackle on Sissoko. Sissoko for the 2 fouls on Mahrez. Shelvey for the late (?) challenge on Vardy. Other than that he did better than I thought he would. He was quite lenient with our time-wasting, too.

Credit where it's due I thought the ref was good and ordinarily I think he's the worst in the division.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 I think a couple of bookings missed but otherwise a really good performance. I like it when they let the game flow and don't blow up anytime there's any contact. Well done Mr Pawson
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Credit where it's due I think he had a good refereeing performance last night. I know there arguably could of been some bookings but I thought he did well overall.
okie fox Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Pawson let Mitrovich get away with an absurd amount of backing in.
Fox92 Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Mike Jones appointed for Palace. Even worse than Pawson.
WesMorganGod Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 The ref was fine, did nothing wrong, and let the game flow. He wasn't fair to us and he wasn't fair to Newcastle either, he was totally in the middle and gave the right decisions. 9 out of 10 performance.
promised land Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Even worse than Pawson. Wasn't he the anfield ref last season?
Nod.E Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Also worth noting his decision to wave away the appeal for the Vardy pen was correct.
