StanSP Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 gives much better analysis than some of the 'experts' on MOTD or elsewhere. Nice to read.
StanSP Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 last bit so true, too: "I don't want to sound too critical, but a lot of fans at some grounds I go to have got cameras in their hands, taking pictures of anything rather than generating any atmosphere during the game. "At Leicester, it was all about getting behind their team."
Izzy Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 There's something kinda old skool about Deeney that I like.
Soar Fox Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Spoke well of us after our playoff games also. Wouldn't mind us trying to sign him in the summer, him & Vardy upfront would be a nightmare for defenders.
Izzy Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Troy wants in That's what I was thinking Reckon he'd suit us perfectly..
lee7 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 I hear Deeney on talksport every now and again. He always comes across as a down to Earth sort of bloke and as a previous poster has just stated, he gives a much better insight than most of the 'expert' pundits on Match of the day.
Moksky Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Good honest opionion, nice insight as to what it's like playing against our boys I for one would welcome him with open arms down here
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Spot on analysis here. He does speak a lot of sense Deeney. I remember the play off game at Vicarage Road and on the interview post match he did point out how good we were as a team and actually went out to give us credit. Like others have said he does seem an honest down to earth guy. I wouldn't mind us signing him in the summer, the partnership between him and Vardy has the potential to work well and I reckon he'd score quite a few goals here. Given the quality we have in the wide areas, chance creation, and our counter attacking style he could be a good fit as we do create a lot of chances in games. He's getting regular game time at Watford and he's been loyal to them in terms of staying with them, so he probably wouldn't move. It's difficult to tell. I suppose with CL football on the cards for us it's going to be a good attraction for any possible players we're looking at signing.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Sign him up... We will have him and vards ripping it up in the CL. He would do brilliantly IMO. Might not be the best looking partnership but we will have defences quaking in their boots
TJB-fox Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 What a great read. Far more enlightening than most pundits that just generally state the obvious
Wizerud Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Replacement for Leo or in addition to? I think they share a lot of attributes but Deeney is more clinical in front of goal.
WesMorganGod Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Good read, wouldn't mind him playing for us, he works super hard
Sionnach gorm Posted 4 April 2016 Posted 4 April 2016 He seems very perceptive and intelligent and technical astute, unlike many better players. He'll probably end up as a manager some day.
kingfox Posted 4 April 2016 Posted 4 April 2016 Don't get the hate for him tbh, he is a bloody good player on his day. If I record as well, he was the only opposition player to clap our fans this season.

He clearly wants to play for us;) but no he understands the game a lot better than these so called experts who are nothing more than dinosaurs and can't move with the times.
