Troy Deeney on Leicester

That's got to be as astute of an analysis of Leicester's play as anything that's been on TV this season.

Deeney's been a model pro at Watford since his prison sentence. Dare I say he's one of the PL players outside of City that I respect the most...

When you read up on some of the stories regarding how lazy he was as a teen, it's crazy to think where he's at now and the sort of player he's become. Fair play to him I say.

Don't get the hate for him tbh, he is a bloody good player on his day.

If I record as well, he was the only opposition player to clap our fans this season.

I think its fair to say the hate for that goal has passed now.

He would fit in well here, wouldn't be disappointed if we made a move.

Christ and we have to put up with the analysis of twerps like Mills, Redknapp etc when there are some excellent other options out there.

It's almost like he's actually watched us play.

I think he is just very honest and says what he really sees/thinks..

Probably more likely to have respect for your boys than some of the big egos around at the top clubs too...

You fickle cvnts!

Most on here loathed him,now you all wanna bum him!!

Good read. Must be shit scary as an opposition striker with the ball. First you look up and see Huth wants to kick you, then you have Ngolo behind you trying to take the ball with that menacing empty expression.

If he doesn't join us in the summer I hope he packs in this football lark and takes up showing pundits how to do their job full time and make the league a little bit easier for us next year anyway.  None of this rubbish about "yeah they just can't do it" or "they play like that because they're limited", just straight up "this is how they play and this is why it's effective and this is why they're the best team in England please sign me Claudio".

Always liked the man.

Seems like this man has really changed his life around. Good on him

I'd be happy to see him in a City shirt, though I think we can now do better in terms of a top class striker if I'm honest.

I say something nice about Leicester everyday, how come nobody wants the club to sign me up?

Fair play to the guy. Reading the extended article on the BBC he clearly has a lot of respect for us and speaks very highly of the defence in particular. At the end of the day, he's just occupied the role of pantomime villain for a little while now becasue we've had no one else to move onto. He didn't exactly ask for that ball to fall at his feet in the playoff game after the penalty, and he bagged where he had to exactly like we'd expect any of our players to.

He could have been decent for us this season but I think we're moving onto bigger and better things next season.

Who actually "loathed" him?

I imagine people were bitter for a few months after the play-off goal but what has he done to deserve loathing?

He's a good, honest, English pro.

What needs explaining? I think people assuming he's angling for a move with these comments is fairly negative.

Clearly the concept of "humour". lol
