ousefox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 He should just use John Terry's excuse in the Anton Ferdinand saga
Kinowe Soorie Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 He deserves a longer ban. Putting to one side that his conduct on the pitch today was absolutely not worthy of a sending off - one soft and one extremely debatable yellow card - you can't go dropping c bombs on the referee, even if he has put in a hilariously shit shift. Bin.

Guest Col city fan Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 He deserves a longer ban. Putting to one side that his conduct on the pitch today was absolutely not worthy of a sending off - one soft and one extremely debatable yellow card - you can't go dropping c bombs on the referee, even if he has put in a hilariously shit shift. You are completely ignoring the context: 1. Vardy was playing really well today. He'd scored a great goal and looked like scoring more. 2. He clearly thought he'd been fouled and rather than getting up to slot away a penalty, he found himself getting sent off. 3. He knew he'd miss the next game. 4. He knew we'd be on the back foot with him off the pitch. 5. He knows this referee is a total cvnt 6. He's a human being, not a robot 7. He can be mouthy..we all know it. Vardy simply flipped. He lost control. Whether you want to jump your soapbox and bleat 'he shouldn't have', I'm afraid he did. Given the circumstances, the context I can fully understand it. I'd have said the same thing. The players are always swearing at the refs. Look at the current England Captain..he's one of the worst.
Donut Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Lads, look, the red card was ridiculous, we all know that. His first yellow was never a yellow, and his "dive" wasnt really a dive. But he is literally screaming obscenities at the referee. You cannot do that. Do i want him to be banned? OF COURSE NOT. But you cant turn a blind eye to that.
Socks Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 fvck em Karras, fvck em if they do Leo will step up have faith in our other players (if it actually does happen)
Kendal Fox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 What happens if Vardy gets banned for 3 games and then Okazaki gets injured early next game. Then Ulloa is the only striker we have at the whole club who is available to play. Wow Could Schlupp possibly play in a makeshift role? Assuming that Vardy is only banned for one match? If not, at least try him against Swansea.. He certainly has the pace and ability to make things happen.

Hopefully this is going to be our greatest ever season!! I'll turn a blind eye to to what I like!
ScouseFox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 as an aside why are swear words even a thing? always wondered that. also always thought folk should be allowed to swear whenever they like. would bloody love to watch some half time analysis an jamie carragher just go "dya know what ed, this has been shite". would really spice things up.

Hahahahahah I can actually imagine carra doing that.
ARM1968 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Players swear at Lino and Refs decisions every bloody game, so quite venomously so. You going to start banning them all? I doubt it. The conspiracy continues:-)
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 week in weekl out players are swearing at decisions... seen plenty of it from players and managers.... vards will miss one game.... keeps him fresh for old trafford.
gdl9050 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Vardy is one of those players you would hate if he was at another club but love him at our club. Reminds me a lot of Craig Bellamy.
Heymister2015 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 I think the fact they allowed a Spurs fan to officiate the game puts them in distribute. And would have a cheek increasing it to three games
Cropwellfox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Costa got an extra game ban for getting in refs face and not heading straight off v Everton last month so there's recent precedent. At least that would only be 2 and Vardy would be back for Everton and on a real mission. We will know by Tuesday lunchtime whether there's a charge to answer.
weller54 Posted 17 April 2016 Author Posted 17 April 2016 Think we're all being ostriches if we don't accept it's a very strong possibility that vardy is out probably until the Chelsea game.. Moss will 100% put this in his report. How we adapt our game plan and shape without Vardy is going to be a tough challenge. God the vile spuds fans are going to love this!
EGBFitness Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 I'm sorry but if there is a longer ban it is a complete joke. If the FA can review this and lengthen the ban then they can review the red card and recinde it. If this does turn into a longer ban then 90% of games should have players sent off/ longer bans. How many times do you see Chelsea, Arsenal, United etc (especially Rooney) screaming in refs faces. Plus how many times have these players got their hands on the ref... I thought the rule introduced few years ago was you wasn't allowed to do that too

If Costa was only given a one game extension there's no reason Vardy should get two.

I'm going to stick my head in the sand till Tuesday lunchtime then. My doctor has advised me not to read threads like this.

Izzy Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Does anyone know if we can appeal 2 yellow cards? You're a piss taking Mo-Fo Webbo
fuchsntf Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Psssst, come closer , I want to tell all you hosenscheissers a secret... WE ARE STILL GOING TO WIN THE PL. King Dick just decided to send his favourite knight off the battlefield. He needs a rest, to get ready for the CL...
AyewJoking Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Ranieri isn't recalling kram... It will kill the belief in our squad players... We have plenty of options with king, schlupp, gray, ulloa.... Ranieri will have to find a way of getting us to play effectively without vardy yeah lets play hoof ball and see if we can hang on for 0-0 draws
