Blackpool Fox 69 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 It was a big point today, if we lost Spuds would have needed a win and draw to overtake us (goal difference), they now need two wins still, chin up fellow foxes!
Blackpool Fox 69 Posted 17 April 2016 Author Posted 17 April 2016 They're 8 points behind mate Sorry if Spuds win the game in hand.
sdb Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Eh?! I actually think the point makes minimal difference. Spurs will win their 5 games so we need to win 3 games, as we did before today. What the late goal does give us is a little more belief and momentum.
Blackpool Fox 69 Posted 17 April 2016 Author Posted 17 April 2016 I thought I was shit at maths Sorry for leaving out the game in hand, assuming they get three points from it, it has been an emotional day!

Kendal Fox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Yep. There's a few positives we can take from this "Big Point". For one, we kept our unbeaten run (since September) at home going. Always a boost psychologically, for us and daunting for visiting teams. Also, Ulloa could very well have missed that penalty, but held his nerve to stick it away brilliantly. Had the enormous pressure, negativity and occasion gotten to him, we'd almost certainly be subjected to the anti-Leicester brigade and the "Big Club" groupie media shouting from the rooftops that we'd probably blown it, But we/Ulloa didn't and I'm still confident that we pick up enough points to clinch the title over the next 2 or 3 games. Fingers crossed.C'mon You Foxes... We will rise...
Kendal Fox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Just to add - when teams (in a winning position in the title race) blow it, it's usually because they lose a match, rather than come back to draw. Newcastle (back in '96), Man United in 2011 and Liverpool more recently, all lost key matches around an almost identical time to us drawing this match. Liverpool and United were also regularly conceding several goals at a time and clean sheets were rare for them. So we still differ from the versions of those teams, in a good way!
weller54 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 If Mahrez was still on the pitch.. Would he have taken that pen? ..blimey I think probably so!?
Viva Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Eh?! I actually think the point makes minimal difference. Spurs will win their 5 games so we need to win 3 games, as we did before today. What the late goal does give us is a little more belief and momentum. I bet they don't. It does make a difference as any dropped points for Spurs mean 2 wins will be enough.

gdl9050 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 If Mahrez was still on the pitch.. Would he have taken that pen? ..blimey I think probably so!? Imagine if he took the ball off Ulloa and then missed
foxes_rule1978 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Spurs need 3 wins to over take us while we lose... they still have to beat Stoke tomorrow to get to within 5 points, we still have a big advantage with only 4 to play
Koke Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 If Mahrez was still on the pitch.. Would he have taken that pen? ..blimey I think probably so!? Just thinking about that makes me shudder. So glad Ulloa took it.
nnfox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Never thought I would say this but COME ON STOKE I think literally every fan in the country that doesn't support Spurs will be wanting a Stoke win. Let's hope they turn up like they did against Man City earlier in the season!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Never thought I would say this but COME ON STOKE I never ever want to say this again but please Stoke do us a favour tomorrowThey won't as they are ****ing shit and a bunch of wankers But here's hoping anyway
4everfox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 I predict Spurs will get 13 points from their last 5 which will put them on 78. If that is the case then we need to win 2 of our last 4 which I think we will and in doing so we will also reach Claudio's 79 point target. Got a feeling it will be Newcastle they will drop points against though so we may have to delay the celebrations until the final day of the season.
ajthefox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 I bet they don't. It does make a difference as any dropped points for Spurs mean 2 wins will be enough. This. If Spurs draw one and win four, we would only need 6 points.
EGBFitness Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Will have to see tomorrow if it's a big point or not In all fairness I would of take a point before the game
Carl the Llama Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 At the end of the day more points on the board is always better than none, especially against a tricky side like West Ham.
GaelicFox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Spurs will lose all remaining games, don't worry. I have a feeling about tomorrow night !
