Babylon Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Anyone who thinks that's a penalty needs to pack up their shit and watch a different sport. Depends how pedantic you want to be I suppose, to the letter of the law he pulls him back. That's a yellow elsewhere on the pitch (ask Danny Simpson). But that was before he dove through the air like a demented salmon.
FLAN Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 David Gild has said nobody in the planet will convince me that was a spot kick (schlupp pen). Isn't that also disrepute?
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 It's the FA that decide it, not Sky. I wonder where the premier league get their money from? Sky dictate what game are shown when and if sky want spurs playing Monday night 3 weeks on the trot, thats what they will do. So we can see clueless caragher fawn all over their pressing and how good a referee moss is. Sky pay for their TV rights deals, they want good value from their investment. Who wants to watch carragher on Monday night if title is over. FA and sky are in it together. Sky and their sister media companies will make sure they show exactly what vardy did wrong... They won't emphasise how he was wronged like the ogbonna headlock. Then you have the loyal servants like carragher spouting off what a great refereeing performance he had because he can use his oversized ipad

Nobody on this planet will convince me that the penalty given for Reid's theatrics should have been given and nobody will convince me that Huth wasn't fouled in the 90th minute. Swings and roundabouts.
chinna Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 And the Man in charge of the FA is a die hard wolves fan. Vardy has no chance.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 When will we find out for sure the result of the report?

Yeah, it's in a book. What he did was he faked his own death so that he could work undercover for the Hong Kong police, infiltrating drugs gangs and the Triads.
Harry - LCFC Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 The higher people want this to go to the final game so they can have a big season finale, 'decider sunday' etc.. It's 2 - 3 games and you know it. Conspiracy theories are a great way to grab some much wanted attention aren't they?
inckley fox Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Carragher's evaluation was beyond pathetic. It depends on a few completely nonsensical claims - - That part of your justification for booking a player (for an offence which, he admits, wasn't bookable) can be an offence committed by a different player (Vardy/Okazaki). - That referees can speak quietly to a player during a game and, as a result of that chat, apply a totally different set of rules to him than to the rest of the players (see Morgan vs. Ogbonna). If this were the case it would open the referee up to accusations of match-fixing, naturally. - That a referee can be praised for being well-positioned for one incident (the Vardy one) but also praised because he was in the wrong position and made, perhaps, the wrong decision on another occasion, simply because he couldn't do any better. - That a foul plus a dive is a penalty in one instance but not not a penalty, and a second yellow which totally changes the course of the game in another. - That a referee can have a great game even though he unfairly gifts an equaliser to one team (because he can only give what he sees...), then unfairly denies an equaliser to the other (because, it's implied, he hasn't had the same chat with Ogbonna that he had with Morgan), meaning that he's effectively decided the result of the game himself. I know he's trying to look like he's capable of thinking outside of the box. But I'd suggest he might like to focus on learning to think before worrying about where the box is.

I don't think there's a conspiracy either, but you can't deny that the FA have always been very responsive to pressure from media, managers etc. The perceived acceptability of a refereeing performance, via the media, will be as much of a guide to their response as any objective 'expert' reassessment by the panel.
stripeyfox Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 The higher people want this to go to the final game so they can have a big season finale, 'decider sunday' etc.. It's 2 - 3 games and you know it. Rubbish. Vardy will be punished in accordance with his offence. It has nothing to do with winning the league, or not. We will have to manage without him. Sky aren't bothered if the league is won on game 35, 37 or 38. Seriously, people need to stop with this rubbish. If Kane had been sent off and banned and we were reading this crap on Spurs forums we would be slating them for it. What's done is done. I'm sure the players and management aren't reflecting on it - they will be focusing on the players who ARE available for Swansea. If we knock that one down, we can move on to the next.

Yep, all to preserve the sanctity of the Respect campaign no doubt. Just wish a certain element of our fanbase could rise above turning into the kind of sour whackjobs we were accusing all Spurs fans of being a few weeks ago. No amount of doping/fixing/whatever the fvck people's crazy idea is next week can guarantee the outcome these people think is set by the powers that be. It's just ridiculous.

Err no, why would I visit another teams forum, I support only 1 club L.C.F.C....who I sincerely believe were cut up to ribbons by a substandard referee this Sunday, borne out by Shearer and Co comments here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36068462 There is so much at stake (on and off the field of play) that I think it's high time these referees are supported in their decision making by "instant replay" Video, and teams should be allowed to appeal t "go upstairs" for a limited number of appeals per game or per season, and referees should be made financially accountable for decisions that literally cost Millions.....of course their match fees will have to be made larger, official, and not come in brown envelopes any more.

The ref had a bad game. Including giving us a very soft penalty. TV replays are all very well and may well happen in the future. My guess is that if the ref had a chance to view it again, he probably would have stood by his decision to show a second yellow.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 There is a sense of injustice. the question of why is up to debate. Serial moaners like mourinho and wenger would make a big deal if this happened to them, So i'm glad we have someone more dignified like Ranieri in this matter. Personally, I think Vardy deserves the ban more for the swearing and pointing afterwards. He didn't deserve to miss a game for what turned out to be an innocuous mistimed challenge or a foul on him which is given as free kick almost 90% of the time. Regardless, we should just move on and win the next game without Vardy to prove this isn't a one man team.

dpjfox Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 The Vardy story this season is massive and im hoping public perception of him may sway any decision to add addition game bans. I would also hope Roy Hodgson who witnessed the poor referring performance could also support Vardy

Larry_LCFC Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 So now we are also being investigated for fans throwing water at Moss and our officials abusing him in the tunnel? Are they FA ****ing serious? Moss is an absolute cvnt of the highest order and the FA can fvck themselves. This has point deduction written all over it so that their golden boys Spurs can win the league.
