ARM1968 Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Hmm. I wonder if Vardy will be treated the same as Costa?
Jimothy Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Hmm. I wonder if Vardy will be treated the same as Costa? Costa's offence was on a player, Vardy's was on one of the fa's untouchable, unquestionable god like referees, he'll get a much worse punishment.

Thracian Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 I know the decision was bad, but your can't do what Vardy did. I don't want him suspended but you just can't do it. Two wrongs do not make a right. If the referee had made the right decision in the first place there wouldn't have been a "wrong". Moss's decision was ridiculously provocative. Vardy knew he'd been fouled, was probably frustrated at being fouled previously, knew he was entitled to a penalty and then got hit with the injustice of being labelled a cheat. There's so many "wrongs" from the referee, a reaction was inevitable. And what a reaction from so many others as well as Vardy because it's rare that any referee has caused so much adverse reaction for his handling of a Leicester match. From both sides and for so many reasons.
Fox 4 Life Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 If Vardy somehow gets 3 games that is proof that the FA are corrupt. Costa who has a history of causing trouble with refs and players only got one extra. Will be interesting to see what happens.
surrifox Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 I don't know whether the panel have the elbow room but wouldn't it be sensible to set aside the automatic one match ban (for the first ridiculous yellow card) and replace it with a further ban - the effect will be the same but is likely to look fairer but also tough
Ricey Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 What I don't get is that during a match what Vardy and Costa did would be a yellow card offence, but retrospectively it is at least a one match ban. How does that work? A fair punishment would be a fine and a warning, with ANY further breaches of discipline in the next 12 months punished with a ban.
Captain... Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 What's the current status on this? You would hope the fact that Vardy has a fairly clean record with the FA, and that he whilst he said something he shouldn't in the heat of the moment, he did leave the field quickly. I see we have been charged, but no indication of what the punishment will be if we accept the charge, can we contest/appeal the charge? If we contest an additional one match ban can they increase it?

They'll take his racist remarks from earlier in the season in to account and ban him for the whole season.
m4DD0gg Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 I am hoping it will stay at 1 match and a big fine. I would like to think that neither yellow card was really valid but Vardy's reaction to the situation warrants a 1 match ban with the added incentive of dont do this again by whacking him with a huge fine.

He already has a one match ban for 2 yellows, no chance in hell they admit the ref messed up, it will be one extra game like Costa. Anything more will show they genuinely are corrupt cvnts

Would be sensible if it does as the punishment was far harsher than what happened anywayBut as their is a conspiracy going on I very much doubt it
Guest LCFC_World Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 The higher people want this to go to the final game so they can have a big season finale, 'decider sunday' etc.. It's 2 - 3 games and you know it.
EastAnglianFox Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Do the referees usually write their match report straight away? I don't believe in any conspiracy theory but if he had written it the next day I wonder how much (if any) the extra media hype influenced what he decided to report.
Tuna Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Last thing we need is a spurious appeal or denial which leads to a 3 game ban. May as well drive the trophy to the lane now if that happens.
m4DD0gg Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Wonder what the club will be hit with for the tunnel antics that are in that nob's report. Slap on the wrist, fine, Stadium ban.....point deduction
ST20 Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 There won't be a points deduction. It would most likely be a fine for a few thousand pounds.

st albans fox Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Will we get to find out if there are any Spurs connected people on the panel??? Otherwise it could look dodgy for the FA I propose a panel of lineker, o'neill and that trestellar bloke.
Great Boos Up Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 I propose a panel of lineker, o'neill and that trestellar bloke. Or any three random members of Showaddywaddy.
Captain... Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Can your ban still be increased if you appeal it? I thought that was scrapped. Have the FA even set out what ban they want to impose?
Manwell Pablo Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Anyone who thinks that's a penalty needs to pack up their shit and watch a different sport.
