LCFC POTY voting now open

It's already being hijacked by half of Algeria I think.

I hope not, I have no problem with Mahrez winning it if he is voted for by Leicester fans  who watch the team week in week out and don't just watch Mahrez.

Schlupp

Kante

Mahrez vs man city. Loads of good goals in there to choose from though

Tough one.

Didn't know whether to say Gray or Schlupp. Went with Gray in the end because he's settled in really well for someone so young. Could have easily said Chilwell too for his rise from u18 to on the bench in the prem so quickly.

Goal: Vardy v Liverpool

Player: Mahrez. But again, Kante or Vardy have been just as good.

The club announced the vote and put the link on the Facebook page, one look at the comments section and you can see what is going to happen.

No idea why this vote isn't just for season ticket holders and members.

  1. Schlupp
  2. Mahrez
  3. Vardy vs Liverpool

POTY is so tough as it could be any of Mahrez, Vardy and Kante. In fact Kante has been far more consistent over the season than Riyad and Vards but Mahrez has been unbelievable when he's been in form and has been a joy to watch.

Player: Kanté for performing at a consistently high level each week. The same could easily be said of Vardy, Drinky, and the whole back 5 but Kanté sneaks it for me.

Young player: Schlupp. The default option. In my opinion, this will be Gray's award next season.

Goal: Mahrez (Man City away). Wonderful technique and deceived defenders and the goalkeeper with a brilliant run. Not the blockbuster that was Vardy vs. Liverpool which is a narrow second for me, but i think Mahrez vs. Man City symbolised our rise to the top as well as being a fabulous goal.

I think we're going to see a situation where the PFA Player of The Year isn't going to win his own clubs POTY, Riyad Mahrez.

The lad is gearing up for a finale of goals and nutmegs and he'll still lose out to Vardy or Kante but that just shows how good they've all been. What a season.

YPOTY - Schlupp - by default to be honest

POTY - Kante - without him Vardy and Mahrez don't have the platform to attack

GOTY - Mahrez vs. Man City - that stepover makes me wet

Posted

Player - Vardy
Young Player - Gray (Schlupp WTF? Got dropped after looking well out of his depth, Gray is 5 times the player and only being kept out by Albrighton and Mahrez because they've been fantastic)
Goal - Vardy v Liverpool

I love how Inler is an option for player of the season. he is a quality player, any idiot can see that, but he just doesnt fit with our style of play.

Still, it would be a laugh if everyone voted for him anyway...

If he doesn't play I can't vote for him. For me this isn't about who I think is the better player, it's about who has played better.

All Gray has really done is come on to be a defensive nuisance and has had little opportunity to show off the better parts of his game. That's no fault of his but I think these awards ought to be given out for what players have done rather than what they could do.

Or perhaps on their performances in the under 21's as well as the senior team? Because otherwise, Schlupp is the only player on that list to have any real significant impact on the first team, making the whole voting process totally pointless anyway

A few people have said they're voting for Jeff 'by default' and so am I. By "this season" I think most of us mean the 34 league games we've played plus our excursions in the two cup competitions i.e. first team games. So yes I think this season's YPOTY award is a bit of a dud because there's so few genuine candidates.

Goal vardy vs Liverpool

Player really tough but going for kante. Vards and mahrez obviously contenders and big Wes and huth deserve special mentions too as both have been immense

There's a chance the PFA Premier League POTY this year will only finish 3rd in the Leicester POTY. That in itself is insane.

The fact that Liam Moore is a candidate  :revenge:

I was going to vote Kante, but the fear of Vardy being suspended just makes me realise how important he is to the team.

Vards for me, I think, or Kante, or Morgan just phenomenal, although Huth has also been a beast, then there is Drinkwater what a season he has had, Schmeichel has kept the most clean sheets in the league, but then that was down to Simpson and Fuchs coming in and being the best defensive full backs in the country. Albrighton is also massively underrated, the shift he puts in every week, oh and that Mahrez fella has been pretty handy too...

Wow this is difficult...

If we had lost Mahrez or Kante there wouldn't be the fear there is now as we would be a lesser team without them for sure but their replacements wouldn't disrupt our strengths.

Without Vardy we have to approach games differently as we don't have a player who can adequately replace him. Without Vardy we look like a mid table side and we'll have a huge part of our game negated.
