Raw Dykes Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 We win the Premier league and people moan about the colour scheme of the ribbons? Blimey. Sounds like a throwaway joke, but it's actually happening! "You love to moan so much you'd complain about the ribbons of the PL trophy if we won it." It isn't even like gold is a new thing.
Craig Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 At least they're having to change the ribbons for us, otherwise they may as well leave on Chelsea's. To be fair, like it or not, our home colours this season that we have won the title in have been blue and gold. No problem with it.
ealingfox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Blue and gold/yellow is our tradition now and im fine with that. If they reckon gold is a lucky colour its hard to argue.
nobby.bk Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Just think of it, as a mark of a new golden age of the Foxes. The club's just won the most coveted trophy in its 132 years history Champions of England. With the unprecedented world wide media coverage and the way LCFC won it, people will talk about it for years to come. It has brought so much joy and happiness to the people of Leicester City and Leicestershire. The owners have been contributing to the success of the club in their own way. Perhaps they deserve a bit of tolerance. After all yellow is also one of the official colours of the club.
Finnaldo Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Haven't we had a yellow/gold trim in the mid-to-late nineties and then again in the mid-2000s? Not particularly a new thing and I'm all about the all blue anyway, don't care what the secondary colour is.
bart Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Blue and gold/yellow is our tradition now and im fine with that. If they reckon gold is a lucky colour its hard to argue. Not sure if this comment is serious. We had 2 seasons in the nineties I think and then the last 3 seasons with gold/yellow. Don't think that makes it our traditional colours after over a century of white being the second colour. A few people mentioning Chelsea. The first thing I thought when I saw the new kit looks was it looks more like a Chelsea kit than a Leicester kit especially with blue shorts instead of white.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Well I guess that makes it official now... Our colours are blue and gold Don't think the Thai owners want blue and white
Aus Fox Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 I can't see the problem, we've had a yellow/gold trim or away kit for years and years - this is nothing new. We certainly had a yellow away kit/trim as far back as the 80s when I first started watching. I would always say blue white and yellow are our colours.
Bunyip Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Is blue and white just too similar to Chelsea's colours or have the owners requested the gold? I can't see this going down well, although personally I'm not fussed as long as Leicester is engraved on the bugger Must be something wrong with my eyes they look YELLOW to me ?
Finnegan Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Well I guess that makes it official now... Our colours are blue and gold Don't think the Thai owners want blue and white The whole stadium is blue and white. They've got their brand name in white everywhere. Even their helicopter is blue and white.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 I like the yellow, looks like the yellow of the fox on the badge and the 90's away kits
Itsthejoeker Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Not sure if this comment is serious. We had 2 seasons in the nineties I think and then the last 3 seasons with gold/yellow. The ****ing fox on the badge has been yellow/gold since the ****ing forties! (Until the crest changed a couple of times)
SemperEadem Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Well I guess that makes it official now... Our colours are blue and gold Don't think the Thai owners want blue and white And that is a disgrace. Tan esque!
Vindaloo FOX Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 they could be bright pink and white i dont care, our little old Leicester City are going to pick up the Premier League Trophy TODAY !!! SO BEHAVE !! and just enjoy the day .
Master Fox Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Grown men arguing over the colour of some ribbons. Amazing
FireFox Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Does anyone know what is happening to the trophy/ribbons next season? Since it'll just be the Premier League. Not the Barclays Premier League.
