cityfanlee23 Posted 9 May 2016 Author Posted 9 May 2016 Agreed. Same with Albiol and Honda. Can't help but think they may be swayed by other big clubs across Europe though should they leave their respective clubs. Some of these players will be looking beyond just next year though. So as much as can offer CL for a season as a pulling point, not everyone will take us up on it just for a season. Other clubs (mainly around Europe and not necessarily in England) can and most likely will play CL for more than just 2016/17 season. Would like to sign Arnautovic and Redmond, though. Think they'd fit our squad and have the right attitude for us. Arnautovic a bit too injury prone though? Actually not as much as it seems, in his 3 seasons at stoke he's played 30/29/33 games in the league, 35/35/39 in total including cups.
lgfualol Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Does ramadone have that good a record as an itk? It's not something I massively keep track on but I'm sure he's got quite a few things wrong... Yeah him and albert are good
GeorgeTheFox Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Get Feghouli! Then go in for Brahimi and we could have an algerian trio behind vardy. The facebook comments will become even more irritating though
Happy Fox Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Redmond is alright, but Gray has bigger potential. Don't see the need for Redmond to be honest.
filbertway Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I must be watching a different Arnautovic to everyone else. There's no denying he's a damn good player, but he strikes me as one who's out for himself. The type that will throw a hissy fit at a misplaced pass rather than trying to win the ball back and turn it into something. I've wanted Brahimi since seeing him at the 2014 world cup. Make it happen!
Kasey Keller Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I'd take Tim Krul as back up to kasper. He's a number 1 wherever he goes definitely off when the geordies slip through the trap door
dylanlegend Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I'm surprised people want Carrick don't think he'd suit our style at all
Richmondfox Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I'm surprised people want Carrick don't think he'd suit our style at all I agree, we need midfielders with energy, Carrick will be 35 in June, he might have experience but that experience is no good on the pitch if it doesn't match his current ability and our style of play. He would slow our play down completely which would render a lot of our attacks useless.
HowardsBulletHeader Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Can't believe there's no mention for Wanyama. If Kante goes then he's a bloody good attempt at replacing him, even if he doesn't you could do a lot worse.
-MaTaN- Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Nicolas N'koulou Tonny Vilhena Arnautovic Nicola Sansone Those ones!

ARM1968 Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Don't get the love for Arnautovic. Decent player sure but not our type of player or person I'd wager.
cityfanlee23 Posted 10 May 2016 Author Posted 10 May 2016 Can't believe there's no mention for Wanyama. If Kante goes then he's a bloody good attempt at replacing him, even if he doesn't you could do a lot worse. We have been linked with him in 2x newspapers over the last couple of weeks, but they claim we were only interested if Kante Leaves, personally I think we need someone like him regardless, Fellaini controlled the midfield in the United game and we could do with a big strong midfielder for specific games, That said, King was a man possessed on Saturday!
ThingsCouldGetMessi Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Out of those listed I would be happy if we signed: Van Der Weil: We need a RB because De Laet isn't good enough to be in the squad anymore and VDW brings plenty of top level experience for a 28 year old. Agger: If he is still good enough to play PL level. Has at least a couple of seasons in him aged 31 and has experience of both our league and Europe. I assume Wasilewski will be released. Vilhana: Hugely rated aged 21. Well worth a punt on a free. Feghouli: If the club feel we need a winger. Riyad could help him settle into the club. My only problem is I think Gray has looked class in the little game time we have given him and I feel he deserves to be getting starts next season.

This for me, He genuinely looks like he could be a top top talent in the coming years, he needs game time, and not on loan at a club that does not play our style, he needs Leicester city game time in the premier league.
ramadaone Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Does ramadone have that good a record as an itk? It's not something I massively keep track on but I'm sure he's got quite a few things wrong... I got Lewis Thompson wrong ...
indierich06 Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 I watch a fair bit of Serie A (about the only European stuff I do watch regularly, grew up on James Richardson and it's stuck) - and Nicola Sansone is genuinely class and would be so, so good here. I'd absolutely love that. Berardi is quality too from what I've seen. Sassuolo seem a decent side.
foxes21 Posted 14 May 2016 Posted 14 May 2016 Hiroki Sakai, very underrated Japanese right back for Hannover. Contract expires this summer & is one of the fastest fullbacks in the Bundesliga.
MC Prussian Posted 14 May 2016 Posted 14 May 2016 I'm surprised people want Carrick don't think he'd suit our style at all Last thing I heard was that A-League outfit Perth Glory were after him: http://www.fourfourtwo.com/au/news/perth-glory-chase-epl-star
chicagofox Posted 17 May 2016 Posted 17 May 2016 I'm surprised people want Carrick don't think he'd suit our style at all I'd much rather keep Inler than sign Carrick.
Wonk_V71 Posted 17 May 2016 Posted 17 May 2016 Gray is better than Redmond in my opinion. But in all honesty I'd take any of the players listed if they showed interest in coming. We need more depth to the squad. The players that do come in will need to buy in to to our style and our player culture at the club or they will be a waste.
Guest MattP Posted 17 May 2016 Posted 17 May 2016 I'm surprised people want Carrick don't think he'd suit our style at all Same, he slows play down and takes the energy out of the game, he's suited to Man U under Van Gaal, not this pacey quick counter attacking Leicester City. I'd take Feghouli, he has looked class whenever I have watched him, I'd have said yes to Redmond last season but we should be aiming for better than him now with the CL on the way.
