Vardy

You know a lot of Arsenal fans are indifferent to Vardy joining us, if we where to pick a player it would be Kante or Mahrez ahead of Vardy any day of the week. We haven't lost a big player for a few years now (since Van Persie) but I know and understand why most of you will be peeved. There is no loyalty in football any more.

Is your interest in Vardy only because you can't get a striker that you really want - Benzema, Higuain, Morata?

For anyone who wants a summary of the last 105 pages please see below....

Vardy is going to Arsenal

It's his wife's fault

Worlds going to end

We have no proof

Other than every news source in country

Don't abuse his wife

He's a dirt chav

Repeat 1000x

Please sign today so we don't go a few weeks with no idea if he will stay with us or not.

Or wait a few weeks so we have Leicester player scoring the winner in the final for England.

Should have concentrated on delivering the PL title, Leicester spent a fracture of that and the rewards for being champions the extra exposure and global image will bring in a huge chunk of the 800 million you mention without charging the fans top dollar and having Piers Moron as head of publicity. You also forgot to mention the savings on Arsene's coat which seems to have zip problems.

That might be fine for Leicester where one PL title is like winning the lotto, Arsenal winning it doesn't have the same effect financially at all. Their financial future is secured for the next century with the Emirates. Highbury was also becoming structurally unsound due to age. You don't get to that position without long term planning. Global image, they won the league without losing a single game the season before they left, that kind of image?

Stringer just made a point that Claudio is doing soccer aid tonight. So wouldn't be able to agree to the deal

I see stringer is as thick as usual

You do know our owners are billionaires?

I don't agree with the "vardy doesn't owe us anything" statement. This is a man who was going to retire from football altogether after his first season with us. Very few clubs would show the faith in him that our club did. Mahrez and Kante owe us nothing. I guess I'm just naive. But he hasn't gone yet.... There's still a chance

What's really annoyed me is we did the impossible last season...seemingly ripped off the shackles suffocating modern football....his cvnt has re-applied them. We're the champions of England, a seeded team in the champions league for **** sake. WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO CRETIN.

Not sure to be honest. We made a right bodge up of the Benzema situation last season and we dithered on Higuain a few seasons back too.

What I don't get is the buy out clause, if it is £20m then it's a snip for a proven goalscorer. Vardy must have had some say in that.

What I can't understand is why we agreed to such a low release clause in Jan/Feb. Why not leave contract negotiations on hold until the summer and then if teams do come in for we can name our price. We handed all the power to the player and agent.

And the rest, think muzzy said in his book he was on 35k per week and was one of the top earners.

Think walshy was on 25k per week.

Muzzys agent pushed for 42+ during a meeting with those two idiots Peter Taylor and John Elsom thinking that they'd meet someway below that. Muzzy was flabbergasted and didn't want to push that far as crazy.

They were asked to leave the room whilst it was discussed.....they agreed. (to the 42)

Fair to say Muzzy is one of the more astute and although signing for Brum with dodgy legs (rather they found out than us) has kept his feet on the ground

Also, how much of Vardy's success was down to Shinji running himself into the ground to make space for him each match. Can Arsenal match that? I don't remember Vardy doing so well without that against Chelsea.

Should image that he'd rather play along side him than Rooney + Kane

Didn't that happen in a dramatic way at Leeds. Seth someone took them for an absolute ride, if I remember correctly

A realistic buy out clause should have been in the region of £30m, which would have put everyone off as Vardy, a 29 year old, with one good season in the Premiership , is not worth that amount. I suspect that the agent/ Vardy insisted on it being £20m for this reason.

If he does go, I don't think his style of play suiting yours. He's more of a Tottenham or Liverpool player in that respect.

20m is a 2000% increase on what Leicester paid for him, and given his age is completely reasonable.

Apologies then, it's because someone else thought I was saying I agree with Giroud and I thought you were agreeing with him.

No mate all good, apologies for the tool comment just pure frustration with the whole situation

Is the proposed Vardy signing reminiscent of Francis Jeffers, albeit someone who is older?

He's going to be playing in front of one of the best playmakers in Europe. Not to mention Cazorla, Xhaka, Wilshere etc. He'll be just fine.

His agent would have gone for 20m as he can negotiate a greater signing on fee. If The Arse have said he's worth 30m he's quids in.

Joachin got 500k signing on fee at Villa and was earning 5K
