ARM1968 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Mike20166 - were Arsenal fans upset most of last season? Just wondering because they spent most of it talking shite.
Sunbury Fox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 142 assists in 7 years is surplus to requirements? Petered out? He missed breaking the PL assist record by 1!! This is what happens when people are upset, they start talking shite! Why are you on here? With respect, I am not interested in an Arsenal fan's views on Vardy or on how great the Arsenal team that finished 10 points behind us is. Leave us in peace.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Excited to see which direction this thread takes next. Who's better? Cech or Schmeichel? Got to be Kasper I think. Kasper
KFS Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Why are you on here? With respect, I am not interested in an Arsenal fan's views on Vardy or on how great the Arsenal team that finished 10 points behind us is. Leave us in peace. Seconded.
ARM1968 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Oh yeah and calling for Wenger's head as I recall. Nice.
mozartfox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Have we heard what the Monks think yet? They talk more sense than Gonners fans.
Mike20166 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Oh yeah and calling for Wenger's head as I recall. Nice. Some where, a small minority, but they didn't start personal attacks on his family. Perhaps they could ask some here for advice on that? Seems to be the done thing here.
katieakita Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Right, so after one good season mahrez is a better playmaker than Ozil, who has registered 142 assists in the last 7 years. I'll have what you're having mate. Premier league winners medal? If these players are that good why haven't they got any of these.
m4DD0gg Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Premier league winners medal? If these players are that good why haven't they got any of these. BOOOOM!
KFS Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Some where, a small minority, but they didn't start personal attacks on his family. Perhaps they could ask some here for advice on that? Seems to be the done thing here. Haha let's not start on the etiquette of the respective fan bases. Your fans have basically ruined football related tweeting because they're vile.
49er Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Some where, a small minority, but they didn't start personal attacks on his family. Perhaps they could ask some here for advice on that? Seems to be the done thing here. How do you know that was initiated by Leicester fans? More likely Gooners stirring it. BTW, Ozil is off to Bayern!
stevelcfc Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Some where, a small minority, but they didn't start personal attacks on his family. Perhaps they could ask some here for advice on that? Seems to be the done thing here. Not half a stadium with massive banners and choruses of boo's as he walks down the tunnel then.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Premier league winners medal? If these players are that good why haven't they got any of these. PFA player of the year, and contributed to more goals than Ozil ...
ARM1968 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Like losing is the done thing at Arsenal. Jose was right
foxinsox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Giving a 29 year old a 4 year deal doesn't sound very Wenger like. I can see why Vardy wants it, it will be quite a payday for him. I think Gooners will fail to appreciate him, as will his fellow players. Without our sports scientists he will join the Arsenal sick notes very quickly. Still a very nice profit for City on a 30 year old striker!
TJB-fox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Wish Arsenal would hurry up and liquidate. Horrible smug club
ian_marshall Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 What I don't get is the buy out clause, if it is £20m then it's a snip for a proven goalscorer. Vardy must have had some say in that. What I can't understand is why we agreed to such a low release clause in Jan/Feb. Why not leave contract negotiations on hold until the summer and then if teams do come in for we can name our price. We handed all the power to the player and agent. Exactly this. Very very naive from whoever negotiated the contract on behalf of the club. The pendulum of power completely shifted from the club being in the driving seat to putting the player and his agent in, fastening their seat belts and giving them a push start. Awful negotiating by the club, the level of incompetence is beyond comprehension. I know people used to get annoyed with TR and his penny pinching antics when it came to negotiating transfers but he was certainly streetwise and I doubt this type of thing would have happened on his watch.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 He gives us something different, let Ozil and Xhaka spray balls in to him when teams are playing 10 behind the ball. He gives us something different to what we have in that respect. His main strength is pretty much nullified when teams are set up with ten behind the ball. He's gotten a lot cleverer since he joined us in terms of polishing up his movement and his actual thought, but he is still a limited player who thrives in the system we play that makes the most of his speed and runs behind the last man / into channels because we get the ball forward at pace. Our central midfield pairing are key to this, we aren't a possession side and I think this is why so many are a little miffed by him going to Arsenal. Arsenal sign the marquee striker they're craving further down the line and he's arguably third choice behind Giroud. Hard to tell how much of an impact he's going to have in a team where he isn't guaranteed a game time in a central position. It's mad.
smr Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Arsenal will get dumped out the group stages of the CL, finish 4th in the Prem and Vardy will net around 10 league goals. Let them be, let them have their slice of perpetual pre-season hope about how great their season is going to be. Bless 'em.
Mike20166 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Premier league winners medal? If these players are that good why haven't they got any of these. Hopefully when mahrez is at Utd, Kante is at Chelsea and Vardy is scoring for fun in the CL you'll feel as chipper. He's on to bigger and better things. Afternoon gents.
MC Prussian Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Some where, a small minority, but they didn't start personal attacks on his family. Perhaps they could ask some here for advice on that? Seems to be the done thing here. Twelve posts into your FT career as an Arsenal fan and you're the one to judge? Please do me a favour.

It may well be one of the conditions for him to stay until the end of the season. Fond memories of Jamie, but he will not achieve those heights of a winners medal again.
KFS Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Fvck it, if he wants to play infront of self entitled freaks like this Mike bloke, maybe we're better off. Championes Championes, ole, ole, ole.
dpjfox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 at this rate Vardy will miss the England flight to the Euros. England are so amateurish. Im sure the Germans would block any transfers/medicals so close to the squad travelling to a major tournament.
