HankMarvin Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Tbh there's no way back for him now, he's soured the relationship with owners managers fans and most importantly his teammates. This will turn into the Rooney man u/man city situation Agreed but Rooney is a bad example because his still there and loved by the fans
Mike20166 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Leicester are in a position to consolidate and offer exactly that. In the last 10 years how many titles have Arsenal won again? Arsenal are a bigger club granted but it's in no way comparable to moving from non league football to the Championship. Absolutely none, no titles whatsoever. There is just the small matter of the 800 million pound self financed stadium they built in that time though. They had to sell Henry, Viera, et al to teams who could offer more straight away in order to achieve it. Stop acting like its some cosmic injustice now that the same is going to happen to Leicester.
GingerrrFox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Anyone saying "oh don't be so nasty about Jamie" or "hope he sticks 2 fingers up when he comes back" are ****ing willy pullers imo.
SemperEadem Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Why haven't stringer and co mentioned a thing about this? Stringer is well out the loop.
m4DD0gg Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Some of the high profile players under MON during those glory years even though most earning very high salaries are pretty skint now. Dividing by 2 hasn't helped. Seems happy with life as it is here. thats because most of them were massive boozers, gamblers and took some seriously poor business advice like investing in non existent golf courses in Spain.
stefl14 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 If he goes I can just imagine our fans singing you're just a shit Harry Kane towards him now Most likely yes and he'd deserve it. He actually is a shit Harry Kane though if we're all honest with ourselves, as brilliant as he's been for us. Kane is 22 and has already had 2 world class seasons. Vardy is 29 and has had one.
HankMarvin Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 To be honest, if it's true that we agreed to sell him to Wednesday at the start of the season for £5m and Ranieri blocked it, you can see why he may have issue with loyalty. It's a two way street, and ultimately a business. He had just got in the England team I don't think 5m would've secured his services
Tuna Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 To be honest, if it's true that we agreed to sell him to Wednesday at the start of the season for £5m and Ranieri blocked it, you can see why he may have issue with loyalty. It's a two way street, and ultimately a business. That never happened.
ramboacdc Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Stringer just made a point that Claudio is doing soccer aid tonight. So wouldn't be able to agree to the deal
Ric Flair Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 We'll pay, he'll stay. PL Champions again in May. I'm in the bath with a cold tinnie listening to Marvin Gaye. got tickets later to see Darren Day.
superfox1980 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Bit drastic It will be moving backwards when we lose Kante and Mahrez. May as well get Rob Kelly back.
HankMarvin Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 thats because most of them were massive boozers, gamblers and took some seriously poor business advice like investing in non existent golf courses in Spain. Plus it was 20 years ago, top earners on 20-30 k I think maybe less
blue army 1988 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Why haven't stringer and co mentioned a thing about this? Probably because they don't know anything about it.
HankMarvin Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Stringer just made a point that Claudio is doing soccer aid tonight. So wouldn't be able to agree to the deal I don't think it's down to him a release clause had been met
foxes_rule1978 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 thats because most of them were massive boozers, gamblers and took some seriously poor business advice like investing in non existent golf courses in Spain. Exactly... even today a footballer on 25,000 a week over one year... they will earn more than the average person could in 45 or so years... Only because they are bad at managing money it doesn't mean they need more
st albans fox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Plus it was 20 years ago, top earners on 20-30 k I think maybe less Recall that muzzy and Lenny were on about 20/25 per week. thinking what most of our guys were on last season, that's either quite a lot or we owe our squad a big big bonus!
katieakita Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Absolutely none, no titles whatsoever. There is just the small matter of the 800 million pound self financed stadium they built in that time though. Should have concentrated on delivering the PL title, Leicester spent a fracture of that and the rewards for being champions the extra exposure and global image will bring in a huge chunk of the 800 million you mention without charging the fans top dollar and having Piers Moron as head of publicity. You also forgot to mention the savings on Arsene's coat which seems to have zip problems.
m4DD0gg Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Recall that muzzy and Lenny were on about 20/25 per week. thinking what most of our guys were on last season, that's either quite a lot or we owe our squad a big big bonus! And the rest, think muzzy said in his book he was on 35k per week and was one of the top earners. Think walshy was on 25k per week.

north bank gooner Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 You know a lot of Arsenal fans are indifferent to Vardy joining us, if we where to pick a player it would be Kante or Mahrez ahead of Vardy any day of the week. We haven't lost a big player for a few years now (since Van Persie) but I know and understand why most of you will be peeved. There is no loyalty in football any more.
ARM1968 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 It's not a cosmic injustice, it's just bloody painful being kicked in the nuts. Some on here are feeling the pain more than others. I wish the guy well whatever he decides. He helped us to achieve a dream. He doesn't owe us anything.
49er Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 If his agent has been behind this, why didn't he wait until after the Euros. If Vardy, bangs the goals in, he would be hot property (remember what happened to Rodriguez when he scored all those goals at the last World Cup - move to Real Madrid) and there would be many teams after him. Of course, if he fails to impress even the likes of Arsenal might be put off and he remains at the KP. Could it be that Vardy and his agent think that the latter is the more likely scenario, so bite the hands off Arsenal and get in there quick..
The Fox Covert Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Only one thing for it now. Claudio should bid for Giroud. A French man at the King Power might make Riyad and N'Golo decide to stay. After all, what are the likely prospects for Arsenal next season? Most likely six players on the treatment table, out of all the cups by the beginning of March and miserable defeats against Burnley and Hull which put an end to their title hopes for another year. I wonder if Jamie is reading all this stuff?

I wish the guy well whatever he decides. He helped us to achieve a dream. He doesn't owe us anything. We don't owe him either. If there's no loyalty from players, then there shouldn't be loyalty from the fans.
