The Doctor Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 If I had millions of pounds my parents would never have to worry about money again. But your parents shouldn't expect that to be a given because they raised you. I would expect most people would help their parents out if they were earning his sort of money, but you don't raise kids to profit off them later in life.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Pretty much accepted this now. I'm confident we will get a good replacement or two in and we will be okay next season. The only reason I don't want this to go through now is the deafening tirade of butthurt that will sound from that melty fanbase as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced.
HankMarvin Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 If he stays I hope we still shop for an alternative player, and Vardy plays second fiddle to him. He had a meeting with Wenger on Friday, Giroud seems to think he wants to join. Is there anyway back now? Maybe Vardy has become the type of person CR wanted to avoid, " A big time Charlie"
undey Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Hate waiting for it to be official, just want him to be removed from anything related to Leicester now.
ARM1968 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Greed? Well possibly to some extent. Most people would take it in a flash though. To say they wouldn't is frankly a lie. In reality, in that situation, most people would take it. Unfortunately there is a lot more to this. As others have said, Arsenal are a better prospect than us historically. In reality we've had a one off season that probably no one will ever match again. We are still a small club despite our unreal achievement. We have potential and may push on to become something we have never been. We won't become Arsenal. In terms of career moves, Arsenal offer more of everything than we do. They just do. They also offer a path to obscurity and failure. But the lure of constant CL football, title challenges every year, cup runs, England call ups almost guaranteed. It is a no brainer. If he goes why can't we just thank him for what he's done, wish him well and move on? History suggests his road will be a rocky one.
Mike20166 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Some of the comments on here, the personal attacks on his appearance, his upbringing, attacking his family gas. Absolutely no facts about this have come out and yet you chide him about a lack of loyalty? I wonder how many of you were concerned about his loyalty when you took him from fleetwood? Disgusting "fans".

Micky Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 The insults and vile language towards the player is absolutely disgraceful. Shameful idiotic behaviour from imbeciles. Part of me hopes he does leave so that he can shove two fingers up to you all.
theessexfox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Can't wait for him to reject Arsenal's contract offer
ScouseFox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 I just can't believe we're only going to see £15 million for a 24 goal Premier League striker and England international. Arsenal got £24m for Van Persie who had one year left on his contract, had an horrendous injury record and had never won a league title. This was about 4 years ago as well, way before the bumper new TV deal came in. Other than van Persie the last time somebody scored over 20 goals and then moved on the next season was Darren Bent about 6 years ago and he went for what ended up as £24 million to Aston Villa. I know Vardy's 29 but given how much the market has moved on, us only seeing £15 million for him is a self-inflicted kick in the bollocks. the money doesn't matter though, really. they could have him on a free or give us 60 mill and I'd still feel the same. it's not the club to club business that anyone's batting an eyelid at here, it's the fact jamie vardy wants to leave. horrible.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 I hate the summer. Same as last year, feel good factor lasts all of three weeks. Just have continuing rolling seasons. Bollocks.

katieakita Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Perhaps a replacement is already in place and they had concerns about being 2nd choice to Vardy. Unless with players leaving you are going to stop following the Foxes relax, we have replaced plenty of legends in the past and players thought to be irreplaceable. When Cambiasso went there was uproar on here, how could we replace our player of the season a truly great in a City midfield shirt. History shows we did replace him with an unknown who wasn't by many reports the first, second or third choice to replace him. Even when we finally signed Kante he was probably second choice to Inler to replace him. Some want to have news and gossip all over the place linking us with every Tom,Dick and Harry. Personally i am happy to wait for Claudio,Walshy and Co to announce someone who isn't even a household name in their own household because if this lot have faith in you then you have something about you.

He hadn't just won the league the premier league title He had made all the right noises, about how committed he was weeks before moving

Part of me hopes he does leave so that he can shove two fingers up to you all. Another div looking at it from the player's perspective not the fans perspective. Why don't you all become agents? After all, all you are concerned about is what is a good business move for the player. The fans have a right to shit on players who they think are disloyal, same as the players have a right to leave. It's what fans do.
KFS Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Why do so many white knights surface when these reports come out? Hope he leaves so he can stick two fingers up at the fans? Get a fvcking grip of yourselves.

He is moving from a team that took a chance on him and supported him through his dark times to help him become who he is now, to a team that finished 10 points behind us and can offer him nothing more than we can but money.

filbertway Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Also, it could be worse. We could be replacing our manager with Pellegrini.
